The Oathkeeper who did not participate in Jan 6 is on trial because the Oathkeepers are domestic terrorists. AK has a law preventing a person from holding office if they are a member of an organization that promotes overthrowing or tries to overthrow the government.
Unfortunately, I bet he will survive this nonjury trial. According to the article he easily won re-election so obviously his constituency doesn’t care. If it is up to just one judge, it is likely the judge won’t take his office away. We will see.

Pelosi In The House
I watched this HBO documentary last night. Recommend.
Alexandera Pelosi filmed (over 3 decades), produced and directed this “in the life of” story of the first woman speaker of the house AND the first person to be re-elected to the position after losing control in midterm elections.
Personally, I had mixed emotions. It made me feel so proud for her …and it triggered my tRump PTSD.
I am proud of her accomplishments and her will to do the work of the people and super proud of her love for children. I am so glad she was in this position during the tRump debacle admin.

Big sigh of relief yesterday
Mary Peltola won her seat again. I felt confident of this.
But holy crap. The first results on the Senate vote was very alarming! Good thing Lisa Murkowski pulled it out. Sorry to say on the Republican side but Tshibaka is a F.R.E.A.K. Like maybe worse than MTG. REALLY.

Race question on 911 call. Wow. Just wow.
On my way home tonight from my shift I encountered a person down on the side of the road.
I live in Anchorage AK. I saw at least 4 cars pass by this black lump before I approached. I could tell it was a person for sure as I got closer.
I stopped. (Why not others?…I was thinking).
The person was lying on the frozen ice and snow covered three lane, one way arterial. I called 911.
Since there were no visible injuries I was patched throughout to FD paramedics. I was asked the race of the person. I reported what I thought the person’s race was. I was told the paramedics had been dispatched.
12 minutes later. I called 911 again. Because no one had arrived and I heard no approaching sirens. It’s after midnight by this time and I should have heard sirens.
17 minutes after my call the local unit for health checks pulls up.
I know the reason it took so long is because I reported that person’s race. Fucking pisses me off. Pissed At self and the fact that it made a difference. Had I reported the person as white I believe it would have taken WAY less time and only one call.
