About Me

I'm a lawyer primarily representing clients who are being sued. I am a retired Army Judge Advocate. Nothing I post here, including any comments about legal topics, should be construed as legal advice or creating an attorney-client relationship.

I'm in for Joe.

Some days ago, I decided to base my Super Tuesday vote on how VP Biden did with the AA vote in South Carolina.

Per exit polls, VP Biden took 60% of the AA vote in South Carolina. His favorability among AA voters in South Carolina swamped the others.

Monday is the last day for early voting in Arkansas. I will be standing at the county courthouse at 8:00 to vote for Joe.

I haven't decided for whom I will be voting but I've decided how I will decide.

My rule from the beginning has been which candidate has the best chance to beat Trump. The results so far have not answered my question of which candidate fits that bill.

Since I have to vote no later than Tuesday, I've decided to wait until after the South Carolina primary this weekend. Whichever candidate does best with the AA vote in South Carolina gets my vote.

If we are to beat Trump, AA Democrats must turnout in force. At this point, the only metric I have is how the candidates do with AA voters in South Carolina. I'm waiting for Steve Kornacki to give me the breakdown.

Who was yelling at Joe when he tried to present his closing argument?

This debate is killing me.

I don't know with which candidate I am most angry.

Jeez guys, don't take the moderators' bait. Attack Trump - not each other.

Arkansas early voting for the primary starts Monday.

For several years I have been one of the first two or three people to vote at my county courthouse the first day of early voting - it's a matter of who is the first standing in line at the courthouse door at opening time.

I won't be standing in line this Monday. I'm still undecided - for the first time ever.

Arkansas votes on March 3. I can early vote up to 5:00 on March 2. The current plan is to wait through the South Carolina primary - just to see what happens. I don't think it will make any difference who does how well in Nevada and South Carolina. I'm just hoping something will happen to provide some clarity.

I am convinced this is the most important election in my life. Such an important decision requires thought and information.

OK, now a feel like one of the cool kids.

Thanks for the hearts. And here I thought only my wife and mother loved me - and mom isn't always sure.

I had a throw-back to my long ago teenage years.

My ninety-three year old father survived the Depression in the rural Arkansas household of a widow with eight children. He has always only voted Democrat.

He asked at Sunday lunch who I was supporting in the Democratic primary. I allowed that I remained undecided. He replied that he was supporting "the Mayor." Surprised, I said "Buttigieg?" He snorted and said, "No, the Mayor of New York!" I suggested that Bloomberg was only a sometimes Democrat. To which my father replied "Well, at least he ain't a (improper word for gay men deleted).

Suddenly, I was a teenager forty-plus years ago arguing politics with my too socially conservative father. Before I could stop myself, I told him his homophobia (a term I had to define) was sinful and ignorant. (I ought not have snapped at a ninety-three year old man who is slow to overcome his "raising." Despite his raising, my father has never tolerated racism or racists. However, he can't quite get over the homophobia.)

I'm having to fight committing to Mayor Buttigieg just to spite the old-man.

Democratic women protesting during SOTU

What were the Democratic woman chanting during the SOTU?

Nina Turner is on Tweety.

Senator Sanders:

Please discharge Nina Turner. Anytime I see her my blood boils.

She is a sworn enemy of the Democratic Party. Please - please - show her the door.
