TomSlick's JournalI was caught off guard by the change in the CDC mask guidance. I was confused and skeptical.
Then I remembered what I have been saying for months: "I'll wear a mask until Dr. Fauci tells me I don't have to."
Well, Dr. Fauci has told me I don't have to keep wearing the damned mask. I will accept the good news. Well, maybe except at Walmart - people there scare me.
I attended a commissioning this morning.
The last time I was at a commissioning ceremony was my own in 1979.
For a couple of years, I have been mentoring a young ROTC cadet as she planned her pre-law program, worked her way through the process of applying for law school, and obtaining an educational delay from the Army. She invited me to attend the commissioning. I am confident she will do well in law school and be a fine JAG officer.
I was surprised how moving I found it all to be.
Did I hear people booing when Gov. Beshear presented the Kentucky Derby trophy?
