CNN's Erin Burnett speaks to the legal director of Free Speech For People, a group arguing that Rep. Madison Cawthorn's (R-NC) embrace of January 6 rioters may disqualify him from seeking office.

Hospital Sues At-Will Workers for Getting Better Jobs

Steve Lehto, a lawyer in the state of Michigan, and YouTuber, did a video about this story. I encourage you to watch it:

APPLETON - It was unclear whether a group of former ThedaCare employees would be allowed to start their new jobs at Ascension Northeast Wisconsin Monday after lawyers for both health systems made their first appearance in court Friday morning.

The uncertainty is the latest development in a battle over health care employees that began late Thursday and is now playing out in court. It comes as staff shortages strain health systems nationwide — nearly one in five health care workers have quit their jobs since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ThedaCare requested Thursday that an Outagamie County judge temporarily block seven of its employees who had applied for and accepted jobs at Ascension from beginning work there on Monday until the health system could find replacements for them.

The employees were part of an 11-member interventional radiology and cardiovascular team, which can perform procedures to stop bleeding in targeted areas during a traumatic injury or restore blood flow to the brain in the case of a stroke. Each of them were employed at-will, meaning they were not under an obligation to stay at ThedaCare for a certain amount of time.

Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Mark McGinnis granted ThedaCare's request and held an initial hearing Friday morning. The case will get a longer hearing at 10 a.m. Monday.

Somebody wake me up when Trump is indicted.

I've been a Democrat all my life. I would love to see Trump get indicted. The problem is: it hasn't happened.

I know some of his alleged crimes are complex issues that are defensible and would raise reasonable doubt. And, all it would take is one member of a jury refusing to vote guilty to prevent a conviction.

I don't keep a tally of all of his alleged crimes. But surely, there has to be at least one that stands a good chance of conviction.

So, why hasn't he been indicted?

Wake me up when he's been indicted.

Mattress recommendation

Sorry for posting this here. I looked at all the forums and couldn't find one for the question I have.

I tend to sleep a little on the warm side. My current mattress has foam, which tends to hold in warmth. I'm looking for a no-foam mattress.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a mattress that has no foam?

Anyone else experiencing a delay in receiving fed tax refund this year?

As long as I can remember, I’ve alway received my refund about 10 days after electronically filing my federal tax year. This year, I filed on February 18. The IRS accepted my return the same day. As of today, March 10, I still haven’t received the refund.

https://weather.com/news/news/2021-03-08-north-carolina-gasoline-spill-colonial-pipeline-oehler-nature-preserve

It happened at a cracked pipeline in North Carolina. Cancer-causing chemicals, like benzene, have been found in groundwater near the site.

Two ATV riders found the spill on Aug. 14 in the Oehler Nature Preserve near Huntersville, North Carolina. The gasoline was leaking from a pipeline that runs from Texas through the Southeast and north to New Jersey. Officials don't know how long the pipe was cracked before the ATV riders found the spill.
