Sick to the core. Here's what one Puerto Rican thinks...

Puerto Rico mayor: for US response to crisis Trump deserves 'a 10' – out of 100

See: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/oct/20/puerto-rico-mayor-trump-deserves-a-10-for-us-response-to-crisis-out-of-100

(snip)
Carmen Yulín Cruz, the mayor of the Puerto Rican capital San Juan, responded on Friday to Donald Trump’s claim that his administration deserved a grade of 10/10 for his handling of the crisis in the hurricane-hit US territory.

“If it’s a 10 out of a scale of 100, of course,” she said. “It’s still a failing grade.”

Cruz added: “I think the president lives in an alternative reality world, that only he believes the things he is saying. But certainly people are still without electricity. We knew it was going to take a long time for that to happen. But the basic services are still not there yet, and there doesn’t seem to be any [sign] of how it’s supposed to go.”

Typical right-wing authoritarian-worshiping attitude

Note that if Reince Priebus had still been chief of staff, she would not have had that diversion.

Good points. Not only that, on the other side of that fence....

the male newscasters are typically selected to look and sound authoritative, be square-jawed, wear big shoulder pads, and appear intellectual....and to be overbearing to the ladies.

That's really a double-whammy to the intelligence and value of the females anchors trying to succeed!

Trump and Maria delivering a quadruple punch to Puerto Rico

First, the hurricane, then our poor emergency & follow-up response and Trump's insults.

Next, he implies they've done a great job and "nothing to see here". Americans will hear this and stop paying attention to the still terrible situation and some will stop contributing to the desperately needed charities doing good work there.

Lock him up!

Also "fake christian" and....

ZERO knowledge related to the job they're interviewed for. Like those in his cabinet, they must be hard-core against the department they would be working for.

Part of Trump's Bureau of Destruction!

Coyote - you're right, I used poor phrasing.

I wasn't intending to include Trump in with the "good" elites, although we may have a different vision of those included in the world of elites. I apologize for my rushed statement. However, I do believe most people in that class isolate themselves from the everyday world of middle and lower classes, and therefore have limited knowledge of our lives.

The point I was attempting to make out of extreme frustration is that Trump, his family and many of his associates have lived most of their lives within an isolated group that cares little to learn about us, our struggles, or the norms of society and government. In my view, they should not be elected for public service.

Perseus - I should have phrased that differently......

although he liked to show off in photographs with the elite through the years. We'll probably never know who his real friends and enablers are (or were). Despite his many claims of "friendship", he many not even understand what that word means.

What I was trying to say out of frustration is that aside from his serious mental issues, he has been isolated in his penthouse and other properties from everyday life with its norms and good manners, and seems to have little knowledge of those things. I suspect his questionable dealings with New York's government officials (and in other states) foreshadows his attitudes in office now.

His lack of knowledge of, and disrespect for governmental norms - both domestic and international - is equally baffling. Apparently when he's bothered to read daily newspapers, he's only read those things that affect his self-interests.

They run the White House like a corrupt, incompetent small town hall.

He does not give a damn about any traditional norms, either diplomatic, administrative, or societal. Presidential public statements used to be "issued" and went on record as an official document. Now, we rely on verbal press statements, tweets, rumor, leaks and off-the-cuff shit that someone hears in passing.

Our executive branch has diminished into a carnival side show.

vlyons, anytime I'm baffled by tRump's behavior, I go to...

Wikipedia's page on psychopathy. Reading it is almost like reading a mental biography on him. I'm convinced we've elected a very sick man to lead our country and need to push for his removal by all reasonable means.

In addition to the characteristics of a psychopath, he also appears to be plagued by other disorders, described by this excerpt from the Wiki:
(snip)
Psychopathy, narcissism and Machiavellianism, three personality traits that are together referred to as the dark triad, share certain characteristics, such as a callous-manipulative interpersonal style.
-----------

I believe what you're calling lack of syntony or harmony the field of psychology might call anti-social behavior. He seems to exist in a bubble occupied only by himself.
