What the article does not say...

is what potential penalties could be levied against tRump if he violated the gag order?

Also, would that violation constitute an article of impeachment?

Can someone provide some insight on those questions?

Thanks, Coyote - you and Solly knocked the edge off a bad day!

I love the wit and humor of these folks!

Even the girl's T-shirts that say: "Chin Up, Fangs Out".

Typical self-righteous hypocritical Republican statement.

Bevin, like Paul Ryan's gang of thieves, is wanting to gut Kentucky of any remaining safety net for the poor and retirees - therefore a potential death sentence for thousands of folks in need. And yet, they make a huge deal out of morality-related issues that have been long settled in court.

Next, he'll be calling the Legislature the assembly of deacons.

Dotard's Missile Lesson 101

I'm sure Japan's military leaders told him why. tRump is throwing rotten red meat at his base.

Some arm-chair guesses:
1. Danger of debris falling on populated areas form two missiles.
2. Japan and US experts may want to observe full trajectory.
3. Better odds of recovering usable missile debris from the ocean for study of NK technology.
4. Avoiding risk of NK knee-jerk reaction and starting full-blown war.

Did the Nashville Banner go belly up?

When I was a kid there in the 50s/60s (Wilson Co.), the Banner and Tennessean had opposing political leanings (can't recall which one was on which side), but politics didn't get brutal until the late 60s (Gore/Brock) and the Nixon days. The state was predominantly Democrat before then.

One things for sure, that big dollar sign on the cover page will get lots of attention at the news stand!

Crazycatlady, thank you!

That was a great review. Although I've been a voting Democrat for over 50 years, my travels in my work before retirement kept me away from the fine workings of our Party. I have a lot of catching up to do and DU is one the places that helps!

Please post more like this anytime you feel inspired.

All part of their divide and conquer plan.

Over the part 40 years, they have created not only divisions among friends, neighbors and families, but also inside our political parties.

Round one victory for GOP via Heritage, Limbaugh and Faux.

Highplainsdem, a good relevant article...

on our fall from glory:

The time when America stopped being great

Few countries look anymore to Trump's America as a global exemplar, the "city upon a hill" Reagan spoke of in his farewell address to the nation. The German Chancellor Angela Merkel is routinely described as the leader of the free world, the moniker bestowed on the US president since the days of FDR.

The Economist, which trolls Trump almost weekly, has described Chinese President Xi Jinping as the most powerful man in the world. American exceptionalism is now commonly viewed as a negative construct. "Only in America" is a term of derision.

Maybe someone better than I can turn this into a good OP.

Good article all the lines of what you said from VOX.

What if Mueller proves his case and it doesn’t matter?

Had not thought of the power of the right-wing media before relative to pushing legislation through.

Plutocrats send talking points to R-W media and to congress critters,
R-W media pumps it into red meat base,
base calls congress critters,
Congress passes legislation.

Agree 100%. A cesspool out of control.

I wonder how much influence the inflammatory social media posts from right-wingers and Russia affects the tone of discussion on DU. I'm observing a lot of divisive and bitter exchanges here now on other threads.

I don't use social media but I do view many pro-Democrat accounts on my computer. As you have said, when one opens up a Twitter post, many comments are typically very deceptive, outright lies, or in other ways meant to divide.

From what I see, it all seems very unhealthy for those seeking good rational, truthful discourse. It's just one huge head-spin!
