Report it to the cops. That's probably illegal.....

not to mention disturbing the peace. I believe most states have traffic laws that require all motor vehicles on public roads to be registered and driven by licensed drivers, and they don't normally register lawn tractors.

Plus, allowing a minor to do that is flat irresponsible due to safety concerns.....

Even if one disregards the risk to his life, if he causes a car or motorbike to wreck, it would be hell to pay. No license (re driver training) and no insurance is a recipe for disaster.

Never heard of an insurrection attempt at a drag show either, but....

lots of American churches actively support insurrectionists........

It may be coincidental but unsolicited calls seem lower than usual today.

I typically get 8-to-10 unsolicited calls a day, most all with falsified caller IDs and any that I answer (to play with them) sounds like people from India. Telling them I'm on do not call lists has no effect. This problem has gotten totally our of control the last couple of years. I will always maintain my old-fashioned POTS line for better security in case of emergencies.

The Feds need to do their job and stop this bullshit on services we pay for. I feel it should be illegal for anyone to insert fake caller IDs into phone calls, and if a call is via IP-based phone lines, the IP address should appear on caller ID.

I will never, and never have since 1965, done business with anyone that calls my phone unsolicited.

I'm also pissed that corporations such as insurance companies are selling my info to these scammers.

Yea, I was a spur of the moment decision.

I have to travel across the county to get to a drug store where I can get Moderna shots and when I arrived for my appointment, I asked for a review of my other vaccinations. When I got my first shingles shot years ago, I was still traveling and never got the required second shot, so I started over and they felt it wise to renew my pneumonia. So, in typical boy-style, I said "what the hell, let's git-er-done.".......

In hind-sight, I should have just got the COVID booster as planned and I could have gotten the other two later at my drug store close to home. That way, If I had bad side-effects, I would know what caused it. Thank goodness, I didn't have any severe reactions. One of the two in my right arm did make that area sore for about a week.

Although I carry a vaxx record card in my wallet, it has become a mess. I wish the drug stores could print out a wallet-size current vaxx record card for customers to carry, especially to present in case of medical emergency.

Agree, and he can take his beloved Space Force with him.

He claims he's the very best at building things, so he and the Space Force could build a grand hotel and resort on Mars for all his and Musk's great Rethug friends..

I need to go invent low-gravity golf balls for use in space......

As a DUer in recovery, this breaks my heart. Peace be with you, DJ.

"No attempts to snuff the daily rituals to beat back demons bigger than the both of us would prevail" reads like a page out of my history in the 80s. It was a miracle I survived.

Thank you for sharing and for your tireless love for her.

Reads like it's from MAGAt Law, PLLC.

Isn't it unethical for a defense attorney to claim "baselessly investigated" when the investigation is still on-going and discovery is yet to be presented?

Also seems illogical to claim "ongoing injustice" when justice is yet to be rendered by a court.

This level of raw political hackery should disqualify this attorney from acting before a court, IMO.

The City Hall of Cut and Shoot, Texas

From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut_and_Shoot,_Texas

Snip...
Name

According to one local legend, Cut and Shoot was named after a 1912 community confrontation that almost led to violence. According to differing versions of the story, the dispute was over:

The design of a new steeple for the town's only church,
The issue of who should be allowed to preach there, or
The conflicting land claims among church members.

Whatever the circumstances were, a small boy at the scene reportedly said he was scared and declared, "I'm going to cut around the corner and shoot through the bushes in a minute!" This statement apparently stayed in the residents' minds and was eventually adopted as the town's name. "Cut and Shoot" has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.

No state in the nation is immune. My original home state of TN has a crossroads called Hanging Limb and another called Lick Skillet.

Republicans benefit from the silent fear they're injecting into all of us.

Fascist right-wingnuts want a public living in constant fear of something - fear of guns, fear of your brown skin neighbor, fear of losing Social Security, fear of space lasers, books, vaccines, LGBT, etc. Faux News and Limbaugh preached it 24/7 for decades. Lock your doors and keep yer guns loaded. Build fences and switch off PBS.

A divided, fearful public will slowly loose it's sense of community and brotherhood, and therefore will never organize and rise up against the corporate machine that is the backbone of the GOP. Reagan and Murdoch took the helm soon thereafter, and W used the method to entangle us in a multi-trillion dollar war.

I've been watching it happen since Nixon via Agnew rabidly preached fear of welfare (and government in general) in the South like a tent revival preacher.

Rant done, just my 2c worth.
