Michael Cohen in talks to plead guilty to criminal charges

Source: CNN

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, is in talks to plead guilty to criminal charges in a deal that would bring an end to a months-long investigation that has riled the President, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The details of the plea are still being negotiated, the sources cautioned, and talks could fall apart. The US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is investigating Cohen for potential bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance violations. If talks fall apart, federal prosecutors are expected to indict Cohen.

As part of the plea deal under discussion, Cohen is not expected to cooperate with the government, one source said. However, by pleading guilty both Cohen and prosecutors would avoid the spectacle and uncertainty of a trial.

NBC News reported earlier Tuesday on Cohen's potential plea deal.

Pollsters: Trump and GOP are losing young, female voters permanently

Pollsters Anna Greenberg and Dan Cox said on Monday that President Trump and Republicans are losing young women to Democrats permanently.

"When you ask millennial women who are likely voters, about 65, 68 percent would actually vote for a Democrat in the generic congressional race, so that puts them as base Democratic voters," Greenberg, a partner at Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner, told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball on "What America's Thinking."

"What we know is that in your coming of age years, from sort of your teens into your early 20s, have a profound, long-term impact on what your partisanship and voting patterns are for the rest of your life," she continued.

"So, not only in this moment are these millennial women heavily, heavily Democratic and heavily hostile to Trump, but it's likely that they are going to sort of be the vanguard of, I think, the feminization of the Democratic Party," she said.

Take it for what it's worth, but she's certainly taking back the news cycle from Trump again.

I know primary turnout isn't always indicative of general election turnout, but...

I think it's notable that roughly 80,000 more people voted in the Wisconsin Democratic Primary than Republican in the Governors Race...and District 1 (Paul Ryan's old seat), more Democrats also voted than Republicans.

Bodes very well for November!

DNA evidence credited for arrest in April Tinsley's 1988 killing

Source: Indianapolis Star

Thirty years after the murder of 8-year-old April Tinsley, police arrested a man in connection to her death on the same day the cold case was to be examined during a prime-time crime documentary.

John Miller, 59, of Grabill, was arrested at his home Sunday morning by members of the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police, according to court documents.

Hours later, Investigation Discovery's "On the Case with Paula Zahn" was set to air an episode about the search for the man who taunted law enforcement for years after the crime.

Court documents said when police arrived, they asked Miller if he knew why they were there. He answered "April Tinsley" before admitting the crime to investigators, according to court documents.

Any predictions for the Dow today?

Fell -327 yesterday. Some people think it'll rebound, some think it'll continue falling. Down 9 of the last 10 days.

My guess is it rebounds a little, but not a whole lot. We'll see.

Indiana Republican voters in a nutshell

https://twitter.com/IndyEmmaKate/status/993858069321994240

"The voters I talked to here were hesitant to discuss the Senate race.

One man said he voted for Rokita, but he wasn’t a fan of the three candidates’ campaigns.

“I think they’re all pretty much idiots. They all made us feel like we didn’t have any brains.”

Basically says that he doesn't like any of the candidates, so he voted for the most Trump-like one.
