not to travel, especially on cruises. So we cancelled ours. Celebrity Cruise lines cancelled our booking. Celebrity Cruise Lines refunded half our money and is keeping the rest because it's close to the date we would have sailed. Celebrity Cruise Lines is defrauding many, many folks. Who can we bitch to? Think I'll contact Ill Gov Pritzker. His family owns Celebrity Cruise Lines. And perhaps the local news station help line?
There's an alternative universe out there
Just got a FB post from a right wing relative. It was a chart showing virus outbreaks over the past 30 years. And in bold was the H1N1 stats from 2009. Totally implying Obama had a worse virus! Nah, nah,nah, nah! Are these people serious??????
Anyone following our cruise ship problem?
Since we're booked and have paid for a cruise later this spring, I've been paying attention to a MSC ship floating around the Caribbean Sea this week. No island will let them dock over coronavirus fears. This could really impact cruise industry and South Florida enonomies. This could be only the beginning !

I did it!
Just filled out my absentee primary ballot. What a great feeling! I've been thinking long and hard. Much back and forth. I have been a Biden supporter since Day One. I initially felt he could best defeat the Orange One. However, Joe is not showing me he can do it. He doesn't seem tough enough since Impeachment and hasn't really fought for his son or himself in my opinion. Going with my gut and voting for a very qualified and experienced person, AND a woman! Voted for Amy! She can win and beat him. Think of all the pissed off women who will fight for her if she's the candidate. We were screwed in 2016 and it won't happen again! Vote blue, no matter who! Good luck folks.

Old enough to remember
at times of U.S. crisis, it's media who changed hearts and minds. Edward R. Morrow finally spoke out against McCarthyism, and it went away. Walter Cronkite decried the unending war in Vietnam, and protest became mainstream. Now Rachel Maddow has again spoken truth to power.. Thank you Ms Maddow, you just might have saved our Republic! 
Just an observation
I've been seeing several anti-Bernie posts lately. I'm not a supporter of his, but is DU really the place to post so-called scandals about him and his family? Thought we all were united to elect a DEMOCRAT next time as a remedy to the awful tRump administration and it's leader. This is giving ammunition to the other side folks. A candidate is never perfect, but much better than what we have now. P.S. I know Bernie is an Independent mostly, but he is running in the Democratic primary.
