Another thought.

What is compulsory voting? You go to the polls. You get a ballot. Do you actually have to vote for someone? I imagine that they would check off your name and received a ballot but your name would not be on the ballot. Could you leave it blank or vote for everyone? Maybe draw some pictures? I can not see it working in this country. I vote every time, but sometimes only for one or two people.

The 15th Amendment states that voting is a right.

To make it compulsory, would need another amendment. Probably an amendment to the 1st Amendment also. Personally, I am against making it compulsory. It is my right to vote and my right not to vote.

Okay. I got it now.

The importer pays the government the tariff and then charges the consumer the cost of the tariff. So the importer pays the government and then gets his money back from the consumer so actually, it is a tax on the consumer even though the consumer does not pay the government directly. The Democrats have got to make that very plain to the people that they are being taxed.

Does Trump think that tariffs are a type of tax that goes to the government?

The government doesn't see any of this money. The tariff is paid by the importer and passed along to the consumer. So now the consumer pays more for this product leaving the consumer less money to buy other goods. This hurts the economy.

If they did expel Massachusetts from the Union

I would move back there.

If the Democrats do not impeach Trump,

the Republicans will run on it. Trump totally innocent. Let the Republicans in the Senate acquit, then the Democrats can run on that. Get it all out in the open. Someone won't testify, hold in contempt and put in jail. Play hardball. Subpoena everyone. Not just those in the government, but everyone who knows anything about his business dealings while president. Subpoena all his books for Trump Tower and the rest. Keep him on the ropes. Keep everything transparent, let the public know everything. Keep it in the news right up to the election. Neither the Senate nor any government body can make the House vote before they are ready. Now it is time for me to go and hit the heavy bag for a while.

We need to stop calling them Christians.

They are not Christians. This is one I ask adults. Abraham Lincoln - "How many legs does a dog have if you call his tail a leg? Four. Saying that a tail is a leg doesn't make it a leg." Most get it wrong.

I hope Trump lets Jr testify.

Then the House can do the same and he would have a tough time saying he can't under executive privilege.

Some may agree with me, others may not.

In regards to not following a religious belief. I had a discussion with my sister's orthodox Rabbi about breaking a religious law on moral and ethical grounds. It is against the Jewish religion to drive or use a phone on the Sabbath. If there is an accident with injuries in front of your home on the Sabbath and no one who is not an orthodox Jew is around you must do whatever is necessary to protect the injured whether it is calling 911 or if necessary driving the injured to a hospital. The sin would be to not do anything. Not having your children vaccinated is the sin.

I am Jewish,

but considering why the Bible is displayed, it belongs on that table. I do not consider it a violation of the 1st Amendment. This was a soldier's private Bible. That said, it would be a violation of the 1st Amendment if, under the same circumstances, a religious item from a POW/MIA of a non-Christian soldier was not allowed.
