Using biblical scripture to justify political policy....

just when you think it can't get any more fucking crazy...it does.

Just being cheeky here, but I do wonder...

if, last nite, Chris Matthews had to choose between cuddling with his full size bush jr body pillow OR substituting it for his tRump plushie.

We have a small window....can we figure out a way to

keep the orange shitstain from re-entering the U.S. after this stupid ass meeting in Singapore?
Or better yet, let's quickly find him guilty of treason and deter the plane directly to Guantanamo Bay.
A man can dream, right?

Will the "B" actually stand for "backlash"?

No one likes to be intentionally mislead. But that is exactly what IHOP did with this latest ad campaign. Are they changing their name to IHOB? Yes, but it's only temporary.
It matters not to me, but to others, it might.
And, in the end, I suppose the marketing did what it was meant to do....get people talking about a chain that is seldom talked about.

Der Fuehrer tRump called out Professional Football OWNERS, not players

The players had nothing to do with drafting this new policy on the "anthem".

"The NFL chose to not consult the union in the development of this new “policy.” NFL players have shown their patriotism through their social activism, their community service, in support of our military and law enforcement and yes, through their protests to raise awareness about the issues they care about.

The vote by NFL club CEOs today contradicts the statements made to our player leadership by Commissioner Roger Goodell and the Chairman of the NFL’s Management Council John Mara about the principles, values and patriotism of our League.

Our union will review the new “policy” and challenge any aspect of it that is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement."

Thus, by my logic, the orange idiot just called out the OWNERS for a policy that was meant to appease him. Hell, they all just admitted that they won't hire Kaepernick because of the backlash the PGIC would hail upon them. So? If the OWNERS allow their players to stay in the locker room during the playing of the anthem, should THEY be expected to leave the country?

Just asking.

I keep hearing that the detention center is a "private" entity

You know...the one that Senator Merkley was denied access to. I have a lot of questions, but one in particular.

What is the latest on this travesty please? Does anyone have an update?

This is so maddening that I can barely type...

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian nurse on Friday as she tried to help a wounded protester at the Gaza border, according to health officials and a witness, while Israel said militants had attacked its troops with gunfire and a grenade.

Razan Al-Najar’s death brought to 119 the number of Palestinians killed in weekly demonstrations launched on March 30 in the Gaza Strip, an enclave controlled by the Islamist group Hamas and long subject to grinding Israeli and Egyptian embargoes.

Najar, a 21-year-old volunteer medic, was shot as she ran toward the fortified border fence, east of the south Gaza city of Khan Younis, in a bid to reach a casualty, a witness said.

Wearing a white uniform, “she raised her hands high in a clear way, but Israeli soldiers fired and she was hit in the chest,” the witness, who requested anonymity, told Reuters.

At her house in Khan Younis, Najar’s mother collapsed in grief as she was handed her daughter’s blood-stained uniform.

BTW, "There have been no Israeli casualties during the border confrontations, but Israel has reported extensive damage to farmland"
