Heh. They were all over the speaker in March praising his wise decision making when they were worried the May deal might get through. At this point one has to ask if the right wing element that ravages the conservative party can be curtailed. I can see this potentially going three ways:
1. The party splits with the far right migrating to the Brexit party leaving a nub of centre right as the 2nd or third party in the house
2. The older white right wing men in the local constituencies, that are banging the drum for a no deal brexit will all be dead in a generation as most of them are older than God allowing more moderate voices to come to the forefront.
3. The UKIPers who joined the Conservative Party after the last election and have pushed the local constituencies to the right will bugger off as they only care about brexit and once that is done they will have absolutely no interest in any of the other issues of the day.
I know this. Something has to got to give. These chuntering loons from the ERG who should never have been allowed to escape the back benches have allowed their hypocrisy to reach new heights... they gotta go.

Pro-Brexit MPs are all in a tizzy after John Bercow refused the government’s attempt to bring back the meaningful vote on its deal – a mere 48 hours after parliament had declined to give it the approval craved by Downing Street – on the grounds that parliamentary protocol clearly states that the same question cannot be put twice in the same parliamentary session.
Devoted Brexiteers Bill Cash and Peter Bone spoke up against the judgement from the backbenches, while on the frontbench, Jacob Rees-Mogg silently glowered.

Trump and Johnson manage to pitch themselves as the ‘voice of the common man’ fighting against the ‘enemy elites,’ to a certain section of the electorate, and this might be funny if it we were not living with the outcome of this complete and utter outrageous bollocks. Both are over-privileged buffoons who have lucked their way into their positions, cause rich elitist white supremacy male privilege. Private schools, old boys’ network, all the advantages that the patriarchy can offer, and they are still just shit. Their only real skill is to surf the waves of an era when believing in fantasy rather than fact is apparently the new normal. A new normal they and those around them have created.
We are bedevilled by these third-rate wankers, who are sneaky and vile and really good at playing to a certain demographic’s prejudices and fears. Their ‘politics’ (a very lose terms when it comes to them) is reactionary and manipulative, no substance but big on slogans to attract the hordes of low information voters they need to keep their ego enhanced grips on their imagined Thrones. They have cottoned onto one of the most effective propaganda strategies out there and it is working. We witness everyday how Trump and Boris focus on one simplistic issue that the base can easily relate to – immigration would be a case in point on both sides of the pond – and they know that if they stay on their repetitive messaging, they will create silos of thought with their key demographics, where only this issue matters, irrespective of the negative impact that any other of their destructive policies might have on their individual circumstances.

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE and abortion are set to become legal in Northern Ireland for the first time.
The changes are the result of amendments to a routine Commons Bill on the governance of Northern Ireland tabled by Labour Party backbenchers Conor McGinn and Stella Creasy.
McGinn put forward a proposal calling for Westminster to legislate for same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland with Creasy then proposing the decriminalisation of abortion.
Both amendments were passed through parliament with significant majorities in what was described as a “watershed moment” for social justice campaigners.
The changes meant same-sex marriage and abortion would become legal unless the Northern Ireland Assembly had been restored by midnight on 21 October, tonight.
It brings Northern Ireland in line with Ireland and the rest of the UK, where both abortion and gay marriage are already legal.

The DUP are having a temper tantrum about this is Stormount today, but there is no way they can get the executive sitting today so they can veto this. As with Brexit they have over played their hand and my wee country gets to come into the 21st Century. Hurrah.
