Brexit Voter: "We voted for Brexit, why haven't you done it?"The Conservatives: ‘’It is all the fault of Parliament, Labour and the Courts, they are ignoring the will of the people and we want to get Brexit done. You can’t trust anyone else to get Brexit done, only we respect the wishes of the majority, only we want to protect the democratic mandate from the referendum. We will get Brexit done.’’
All Other Parties: ‘’The Conservatives have had over 3 years to deliver Brexit and have failed completely to do so. We want to revoke article 50, stop Brexit, hold a second referendum, Brexit won’t fully happen for years anyway whoever wins, the election is not just about Brexit.’’
Brexit Voter: "We voted for Brexit, Johnson is going to do it, stuff everything else."
Party faithful members: ‘’Baaah, baaaah, baaaah, chunter, chunter, chunter, I am saying what they want me to say no matter how ridiculous it sounds to the general public.’’
Pretty much everyone else: ‘’Fuck Brexit and the far left and the far right who are leaving us with so few options for the governance of this country. We want our country back to a moderate normal place’’

They are no longer even pretending to adhere to the rule of law...
It is official. The Republican Party is bought and paid by those that pull the levers of power, both nationally and internationally, hiding in the shadows behind the emperor that has no clothes, actively using the laws of a nation of laws against itself. They may pretend to respect democracy {especially when a right winger wins} but in reality, they despise it. They do not think that the vast majority of the ‘plebs’ should have a say on anything, they believe they are the masters of the universe and we are their minions. They will stop at nothing to go on gathering as much power and wealth as they can, at the expense of everyone else.
At a time when divisions have never been deeper, when freedoms have never been more at risk, within a modern governance context, they have legitimate and serious concerns about retaining power in 2020, because everyone knows they are wankerish democracy destroyers. So, what do they do? Well, they do not seek to unify or bring the nation together in a way that means they could legitimately retain power, that would be far to reasonable. Their strategy instead undermines the very foundations of the State. Cheating. Voter manipulation and suppression. Russia. State Propaganda Machine (Fox News), gaslighting, disinformation and lying. They are no longer even pretending to adhere to the rule of law much less the norms and traditions of a modern democracy and...

We all know that even before Russia gifted the Presidency to Trump that Trump was already an epic failure - immoral, unethical, bullyboy, criminal. Living in the WH has simply amplified and concentrated this and those in the shadows with the collusion of the wider republican party have demonstrated that they are co-conspirators in the destruction of democracy. If they are allowed to get away with it. If Trump cheats his way to a win in 2020, it is official – the myth of the land of the free is dead.
One quick question to round this out, as an outsider looking in, how is it that I can see this when so many Americans obviously choose not to? I think it is a wilful and determined blindness because they are being allowed to be their worst self's under this administration.

Actively engaging in ignoring reality is the name of the game... then and now
When this time is over the reality of what they supported - be it Trump or Boris Brexit - they can not be allowed to get away with saying that they did not realise how bad they were. Not for one single second. They need to be made to own this for life....
