Does he not realise that the people who care about this the most, the elders that support him cause 401, will likely be dead by the end of this? He is a fucking horror.

I truly think that there is a school of thought on the right, both in America and the UK, that this pandemic, while hitting the economy hard, will have long term benefits in terms of decreased funding for social care and eldercare. We know in the UK that the tory government has ignored the funding crisis in social care for a decade, and that Trump wants to reduce the budget for medicare etc. Now it may be that so many are dying because they are just incompetent arseholes, but because the virus seems to be attacking most those that cost society more to support, you know the old and the vulnerable, you just know that there are some who will see an upside in this...
So Boris is at his second home... pretty sure that is against the new 'suggestions' for compliance..

Of course I feel much sympathy and understand why he needs to be reunited with a pregnant Carrie, however, under the new rules of do not fuck off to your second homes, he just broke them. I expect the police to be sympathetic to any other couple in the same situation. Heh.

..in this complete catastrophe is that we may, together, for the first time in living memory, see how beautiful our spaces are when not flooded by dirt, smog and pollution, and maybe, just maybe, determine we will maintain them that way.
I had a huge bubble bee in the kitchen this morning and we gently encouraged it out the window. It was actually a joy to see it. Maybe, just maybe, this pause on planet earth will give us the vigour and resolve we need to do things very differently in the future...
