'Death is a welcomed friend': Pastor calls on Christians to defy coronavirus lockdown -- even if it..

..kills them

Spell was charged with violating an executive order that bans churches from holding large gatherings, but showed his defiance last Tuesday by holding a service that was attended by over 1,000 people. Speaking to TMZ, Spell said that true Christians would be willing to die from coronavirus, adding that those who “prefer tyranny over freedom do not deserve freedom.”

“The bible teaches us to be absent from our bodies so we can be present with the Lord,” Spell said. “So like any revolutionary, or like any zealot, or like any pure religious person, death looks to them like a welcomed friend.”

Fucking dangerous idiot. He not only wants to sacrifice his own religious community but the wider community that his congregants mix with @ work etc. If they go to church and end up dead they made their choice, but how dare they make that choice for everyone they mix with in the wider community. Bloody literal death cult. Zealots are so exhausting.

Ain't he a peach?

This video from
made Dominic Raab, the man sitting in place of our Prime Minister, so angry that he went round blocking all of us that shared it & pretended like it never existed. Enjoy!

Does not exactly fill one with confidence that he will be making the right decisions for the country. He does not do empathy, sympathy or any kind of thy at all.

After Nov. fixing the shit they broke will be key, so I thought I would start a TODO list 2021

Re-establish positions and ranks for all whose careers were destroyed by the Trump Administration.

All federal level candidates must submit tax returns for at least the previous 10-years to get on the ballot. Prohibit anyone who has not fully complied with tax requirements to run for any office. If you fail pay your taxes or use your assets to avoid paying your rightful share of the tax burden you cannot represent taxpayers. Ditto for business records.

All federal level candidates to undergo full physical and mental evaluations by an independent advisory board made up of medical (actual) experts, with an impartial risk assessment score to determine if they are fit to hold office.

Impeachment of all unqualified judges, appointed in the last 4 years, to be replaced with actual professionals.

Expand the Supreme Court.

Conduct investigations and launch criminal proceedings against everyone who participated in, aided or abetted the unlawful conduct of the Trump Administration.

Confiscation of assets from all those who illegally profited from the Trump Administration.

All federal level lawmakers must divest all stocks and investments and family ‘blind trusts’ are prohibited.

One cannot employ any member of their family or extended family within their offices. Period. Never. Nope. Not. One.

Reform Electoral College.

Ensure voting is cost neutral for all citizens by expanding ballots by mail, by proxy and introducing a paid public holiday for in-person voting. Introduce fines at state level if any citizen has to queue for more than one hour to cast their vote.

Conduct an investigation into the criminally incompetent handling of the Covid-19 pandemic at a federal level and bring charges to bear for negligent manslaughter against all members of the previous administration who enabled Trump to dismiss the virus with such ease, leading to the unnecessary death of thousands of American citizens.

Of course this list is not exhaustive. Feel free to add to it! Joe is going to be busy, I say!!

It only took a decade...

January 2010 Olbermann Special Comment - soooo accurate a decade later.

Today, the Supreme Court, of Chief Justice John Roberts, in a decision that might actually have more dire implications than "Dred Scott v Sandford," declared that because of the alchemy of its 19th Century predecessors in deciding that corporations had all the rights of people, any restrictions on how these corporate-beings spend their money on political advertising, are unconstitutional.

In short, the first amendment — free speech for persons — which went into affect in 1791, applies to corporations, which were not recognized as the equivalents of persons until 1886. In short, there are now no checks on the ability of corporations or unions or other giant aggregations of power to decide our elections.

None. They can spend all the money they want. And if they can spend all the money they want — sooner, rather than later — they will implant the legislators of their choice in every office from President to head of the Visiting Nurse Service. ... Micheal Moore

A bought president and a paid for supreme court and it only took ten years.

Boris Johnson in Intensive Care

His symptoms have worsened and he has been moved to ICU in case he needs a ventilator. I would not wish this on my worst enemy and I have real concerns that Raab who will be his de facto stand in will be right wing authoritarian on steroids if he has to take control. That is who he is. This is serious chaps. I think the mortality rate is about 40% from ICU in Italy...
