This isn't a crisis of 'civility' - it's the right whipping up violence

Boris Johnson’s defenders claim that objections to his rhetoric – whether it be of a “surrender bill” or “betrayal” – are simply hypocritical oversensitivity from political opponents who are themselves not averse to hyperbolic rhetoric. But the difference is context: the far right openly sees Johnson’s language as legitimising its cause, lauding his tirades against what they describe as the “traitors in parliament”. Even his own sister has described his rhetoric as “tasteless”, and his former colleague Amber Rudd says it “legitimises violence”. That’s before we discuss how a rightwing press – which dominates Britain’s media – has popularised terms such as “enemies of the people”, “saboteurs” and “traitors”, and whipped up bigotry towards Muslims, refugees, migrants and trans people.

The far right does not represent millions of people who voted for Brexit; but they have appointed themselves the protectors of what they see as a besieged nation. They use intimidation, harassment and violence against those they deem “traitors”. And they see supposedly respectable media outlets and politicians legitimising their beliefs.

No one should be confused by the current phony, one sided, partisan impeachment. I led a serious impeachment effort with a special counsel who said President Clinton was guilty on count fter count. Look at our rules for fairness and the lynch mob approach of Schiff and Pelosi.

The DISCONNECT is outstanding
Do you think he has any faith in his own bollocks?
A blow job v ALL OF TRUMPS SHIT??? These people are RIDICULOUS

We need to GO BIG

This House of Cards needs to fall. All of them, one by one, need to be taken down by the justice system. Now this has started everyone who has been complicit in this administration needs to bear the weight of their guilt. After all…

“Is ours a government of the people, by the people, for the people, or a kakistocracy rather, for the benefit of knaves at the cost of fools?” Thomas Love Peacock

And because…

“A president [or his enablers] cannot defend a nation if he is not held accountable to its laws.” DaShanne Stokes

Lock them up!

It is all a question of 'values'...

They support Trump because he, like them…
• Is racist.
• Worships at the holy alter of the 2nd Amendment.
• Hates women (even if they are one).
• Holds all non-Christian religions in contempt.
They will forgive him all the traitor shit ‘cause of their incredibly distorted ‘values.’

Heh. Hideous.

Giuliani says he'll testify in front of Congress if directed by Trump

Giuliani told George Stephanopoulos on ABC's "This Week" that he will be "guided by my client."

"I'm a lawyer," he said. "It's his privilege not mine. If he decides that he wants me to testify, of course I'll testify."

Giuliani added he thought Schiff should be removed from his committee post.

"He has already prejudged the case," Giuliani said. "If you want fairness here, we got to put somebody in charge of that committee who has an open mind, not someone who wants to hang the president."

What does Trumps privilege have to do with responding to a subpoena AND facing questions about your own treasonous conduct with a foreign state... hhhhmmmm. Going to jail in...

The Great Humbug and the Poisonous Little Smartie..

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/picture/2019/sep/28/boris-johnson-and-dominic-cummings-sweet-surrender-cartoon#img-1

Johnson wants to play the propaganda game. Stoke up fear and angst among a generally low information voting electorate because, in essence, he is an unprincipled charlatan who will stop at nothing to promote his own power and privilege. With his proven track record of lies, it remains a mystery why anyone believes him on anything – but enough of them do to make it concerning.

I suppose we can take comfort in one future hope - if the BoJo Tories do deliver a no-deal Brexit, BoJo may well be the last Conservative PM for a generation - because when the poverty shit hits the working class fan of a no-deal, the very people that are willing to support Boris as he tries fuck over democracy right now for their working class Brexit, will get very angry indeed.

Right now, BoJo and Cummings are trying to convince us that riots will happen if Brexit does not. Of course, they won’t… but when people cannot feed their kids and heat their homes cause Brexit it may be a very different story. People will put up with most anything, really, but remove economic security and cause financial hardship? Heh. We could end up having our own Arab Spring… Just in Stoke, in December… 😊
