About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

I think I am in love with whoever created this.

Stable Genius Say Coronovirus Will 'Go Away' In April

How many Republican members of Congress would like to hang from the end of a rope until Donald Trump did or said something that brought better healthcare to Americans?

Monday the stable genius told a group of governors at the White House that the coronavirus, which has killed over nine hundred people and infected over 40,000 is going to go away in April. Because it will be warmer weather in April. No, really.

DONALD TRUMP: A lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat. As the heat comes in. Typically that will go away in April. We're in great shape, though.

Well that is all right then, the moron in chief has declared it, ignore the health experts from around the world, he might as well, he ignores experts on everything else. of course, while he is actually articulating this bollocks, public health initiatives to try and restrict the spread of the virus will no doubt go unsupported by this administration. That is concerning for everyone. Over by April my arse... and the worst of it is, without comprehensive free at the point of use healthcare the most vulnerable are at the most risk from very bad outcomes as this virus continues to spread.

George Conway: Trump is right. We might have to impeach him again.

If this were a criminal investigation, and Alexander Vindman and Sondland had given their testimony to a grand jury, this Friday Night Massacre could have been a crime. At the very least, it ought to be impeachable: If Richard M. Nixon was to be impeached for authorizing hush money for witnesses, and Trump himself was actually impeached for directing defiance of House subpoenas, then there should be no doubt that punishing witnesses for complying with subpoenas and giving truthful testimony about presidential misconduct should make for a high crime or misdemeanor as well.

And he’ll only get worse. Narcissistic leaders such as Trump always do. As we’ve now seen, his rage leads to retribution and misconduct, which beget more criticism, and more investigation, and even more rage, retribution and misconduct. Over and over again.

So America beware: The state is Trump, and he’s very, very angry. We might, indeed, have to do it again.

Emphasis mine

And again and again and again. As many times as it takes. He is an outrage.

Vindictive wanker behaves like a vindictive wanker? Surprise!

Sondland and Vindman were both planning to leave — but Trump pushed them out early to humiliate them: CNN

According to CNN’s sources, both Sondland and Vindman “had seen their standings diminished significantly after they appeared before Congress and under subpoena” during the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry, which prompted them to begin planning their exits.

However, sources described as “familiar” with Trump’s thinking said that the president “didn’t want them to go quietly,” despite pleas from advisers and Republican senators to not create a public spectacle by firing prominent impeachment witnesses.

He is just so fucking petty...
I have no sympathy for Sondland of course but for the CIC to break the law for childish point scoring, against people standing up for the rule of law... November cannot come soon enough. Bloody big man baby.

She really should smile more...

Graphic mine

Not so much opium for the masses, more like venom for the foul...

One of the reasons that the horror that is the republican party gets away with their hypocritical, ethic free, glory be, religious nasty is that for those saps who fall at the feet of the new republican ‘messiah’ (at this point Trump) the religious right uses their wrapped in a flag of false patriotism, coupled with the narrative of gods own country, to sell tickets to a white supremacist heaven… Oh my, spot the obviously obvious social construct to keep their followers in line. For the leaders that surround the throne of the false god in the white house, they, through intended misinterpretation of scripture and wilful and blind arrogance, do terrible things in their eagerness to secure themselves power in this world, and an afterlife of splendour. They need their warped interpretation of the fundamentals of Christian theology to excuse their worst excesses of behaviour, and in this way, the bastardisation of the ideals of a faith and the promise of rewards in the afterlife is not just used as a way to control behaviour that is outside societal norms for their base, but actively encourages it…

If there is a judgement day, they are in for a world of pain… burn baby burn.

This is not even the end of the beginning, folks

Who pays the price? Is he having a laugh. the whole world pays the price every bloody day. November is going to be a very long time coming... and then it will quadruple in intensity as he ponders his life without the lapdog protections of those willing to allow him to break the law when he was a winner - when he loses they will drop him like a hot potato... He is unhinged...

Never let it be normal...

Exactly this...
They let him act with impunity at everyone's peril.

Do you think Boris Johnson will survive Dominic Cummings cabinet reshuffle?

It might be a close run thing

We need to create an avalanche of truth...

We seek the democratic ideals of objectivity, fairness and integrity, instead in the last few years we have been subjected to a cacophony of unsubstantiated assertion and subjective noise, those shouting the loudest and being the most outrageous getting all the attention. I wish we could ignore them and that would suck the oxygen out of them, but chance would be a fine thing. We need to drown out their lies and distortions, with objective fact driven ethical arguments of justice. We need to create an avalanche of truth, a tidal wave of fairness, a dedication to destroying the democracy denying populists who would hammer us into submission. Their shit cannot stand - I forbid it!!!
