The killing of Kenneth Chamberlain on HBO Max. DA Mimi Rocah taking a fresh look at the case

Elections have consequences. Those who watch MSNBC will remember DA Rocah as one of the regular contributing guests before she ran for Westchester DA.

Chamberlain, a 68-year-old Marine Corps veteran and retired correction officer, was shot by a White Plains police officer at his home on Nov. 19, 2011, after his medical alert device was accidentally set off.

Someone in the crowd celebrating the McMichaels verdict

Was waving an American flag. What a beautiful sight. This is what the flag should stand for. This is true patriotism, asking your country to do better and believing it can do better is not hating your country.
The trumpist idiots wrapping themselves in the flag and trying to destroy democracy are not patriots.
It was nice to see the flag flown for justice and equality.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett is running for Dallas congressional seat, with Eddie Bernice Johnson's backing

Yess! I like her.

Crockett is running for the seat vacated by Johnson, who announced Saturday that she would not seek reelection in the 30th Congressional District after serving nearly three decades in Congress. The seat is solidly Democratic.
State Rep. Jasmine Crockett announced Wednesday she is running to succeed U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, a fellow Dallas Democrat who announced her retirement four days ago.

Crockett made the announcement during a news conference at Dallas. As it began, Johnson issued a statement endorsing Crockett.

"A vibrant congressional district like TX-30 needs a representative in Washington with high energy, a passion to fight for us, shrewd intelligence, leadership, and an incessant drive. After proudly serving the City of Dallas and Southern sector for 30 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, I firmly believe that Texas State Representative Jasmine Crockett is just the person we need in Congress at this critical time," Johnson said

Republicans Rigged Congressional Maps To Take Lucy McBath's Seat So She's Running In A New District

Switching districts sets McBath up to primary freshman legislator Carolyn Bordeaux who currently represents the 7th Congressional District.

Set on regaining a one-time Republican stronghold, new maps developed by Georgia Republicans just changed the makeup of a once competitive district held by Rep. Lucy McBath. Instead of facing the challenging task of re-election in her current district,McBath announced Monday that she would seek the Democratic nomination for the neighboring 7th Congressional District.
SNIP———-
McBath narrowly beat the incumbent, former Rep. Karen Handel, with less than 4,000 votes in 2018. Handel came back to challenge McBath in 2020 and was easily defeated.
Citing an analysis from FiveThirtyEight, Axios reported the newly constituted 6th Congressional District would lean heavily Republican and reach into a “deeply conservative” portion of North Georgia.

McBath was the first Democrat elected to the 6th Congressional District in decades, in a seat once occupied by Newt Gingrich. According to Ballotpedia, the district shifted from a Republican stronghold in 2012 to more Democrat-friendly in 2020.

Kamala Harris 'invisible' narrative is false & a deliberate attempt to diminish her

It is incumbent on us all to stop sitting idly while a roof is being built brick-by-brick to replace the glass ceiling Vice President Harris has shattered
SNIP——
Here are the facts: since her inauguration on Jan. 20, 2021, Vice President Harris has been a part of over 300 events. She has held an additional 116 private meetings with President Biden. The press has been present at gatherings with Vice President Harris over 330 times. Yet even as she embarked on a high profile (and ultimately successful) diplomatic trip to Paris last week, which included bilateral talks with President Emmanuel Macron of France, the media ran multiple stories falsely claiming that she was invisible.

Snip——
The “invisible” narrative manufactured by political opponents of Vice President Harris and boosted by the media does not square with reality. It is a deliberate and coordinated effort to erase and marginalize the significance of Harris’ presence and her contributions to the Biden-Harris administration. It serves to deny her credit for the successes while often suggesting that disappointments are due to her being missing in action.

By erasing her presence, Vice President Harris’ critics are relentlessly trying to harm her future prospects of capturing the Democratic presidential nomination.

Innocent pregnant woman jailed, shackled while in active labor

Why are these people so bad at their jobs???
Please watch the entire video.
Apart from the atrocity that this woman endured, the thing that jumped out at me was they have video of the real thief. He appears to be a tall thin white male.
How do you end up arresting a very pregnant brown woman?

Why is there a raid over a damn snow blower? Especially when you don’t know that the people living there have anything to do with it? You don’t know if kids are there?
It’s not like they were looking for a murderer or thought anyone would be in danger that would make a raid absolutely necessary.
Couldn’t a knock on the door by a pair of detectives to speak to the people living at this address, asking them what they knew sufficed?

Since the gun charge was dropped against Rittenhouse, what happens to the person who gave it to him?

In a phone interview with the Washington Post, Rittenhouse revealed the gun he used in the shooting was purchased using money he received from an unemployment check during the coronavirus pandemic. Rittenhouse, 17, could not legally purchase the weapon himself, so he gave the money to a friend to buy it for him, according to both Rittenhouse and police reports.
"I got my $1,200 from the coronavirus Illinois unemployment, because I was on furlough from YMCA, and I got my first unemployment check so I was like, 'Oh I'll use this to buy it,'" he told the Post.

Prosecutors have charged a Wisconsin man with supplying the gun
Online court records show prosecutors in Kenosha charged 19-year-old Dominick Black on Nov. 3 with two felony counts of supplying a dangerous weapon to a minor causing death. Black, who was 18 at the time of the purchase, told authorities that he purchased the weapon at a hardware store in Wisconsin. He could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

According to Antioch police reports, Black's stepfather said Black bought the gun for Rittenhouse in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, using Rittenhouse's money but put the gun in his own name. Black told investigators that Rittenhouse's mother, Wendy Rittenhouse, had been planning to apply for a firearm owner's identification card in Illinois so they could legally keep the weapon in Antioch.

SNIP

Black told police that when they went to his stepfather's house he was concerned about Rittenhouse having the gun because he wasn't 18, but if he told Rittenhouse he couldn't have it Rittenhouse “would have thrown a fit,” the reports said.

Gee, I've never gotten caught up in the moment and tased

someone.
Heard on Lawrence O’Donnell
Said by Danny Rodriguez, man who tased Officer Fanone.

Things I’ve done when I’ve gotten “caught up in the moment”

Drank too much at an office Christmas party and got loose lips and said inappropriate for work things to my new coworkers.

Bought clothes 2 sizes smaller because the entire store was 70% off

I don't get right wing logic. So if Rittenhouse was

right for defending himself. According to him, he feared for his life. Why isn’t the same logic applied to Ahmad Arberry? Or even going back to Trayvon Martin, a 15 yr old kid that went to the store to buy skittles. Why doesn’t self defense apply to them? Both of whom were minding their own business, and not carrying AR 15 style weapons.
