Did anyone just see Pastor Spell on CNN?

He needs to be arrested. Some smart DA needs to figure out how to stop this charlatan. He's the pastor that continues to have church services. One of his congregants died of Covid 19, his atty is in the hospital with Covid 19 as is the atty's wife. Now he's asking people to donate their stimulus to the church and evangelicals.
Victor did a great job challenging him, he had the nerve to say to Victor, who is black, if anyone should understand it's the civil rights movement!
He's planning on sending buses to pick up people for service this morning.
He said no one can prove that the member that died and the atty got covid 19 at the church.

Somebody needs to put a stop to this. He is a danger to society.
Hopefully CNN puts up a video soon. It was so bizarre.

Anyone working from home know of a secure app that masks your phone #?

I am mostly doing zoom appts but I still do quite a bit of phone appts. I work in mental health. The app that IT told us to use to mask our phone #s just does not work for me. I have tried to dealing with IT, and at this point I'm just frustrated. I understand they are super busy now with everyone working from home, so sometimes its hard to get a hold of someone and I don't have the time to stay on the phone when I have back to back clients.
If anyone uses a reliable secure phone app. Please let me know.

Protect the troops! You hear that from the right all the time, but now our troops are health care

providers. They are fighting a war, sacrificing themselves for the country's benefit. With every war, unfortunately, there are casualties amongst the troops. Many of them know this, yet they put on their scrubs or uniforms and go to battle every day. They have watched as their brethren lost the battle against the enemy virus. Yet, they keep going into the war zone. Continuing to put themselves in harm's way. Some sleep in their cars after their grueling 12, 16, 18 hr shifts. They do that to protect their loved ones.

Some of these people wrapping themselves in the flag probably think of themselves as " super patriots", they might even get angry when someone is against the previous wars - they might say the usual right wing talking point that one that is against the war, is against our troops.

Well, I see it the same way now. These people are against our troops that are sacrificing themselves every day. As hundreds die in NY each day, paramedics rush in, they try to resuscitate and do what must be done to protect life. They have seen so much death and yet they keep going.

Then you have asses that will not sacrifice by just staying home. This is a global pandemic. Every single person in the world will have to sacrifice in some way. The world will not be the same for a long time to come. In the meantime, I wish these people wrapped in their flags and maga hats would just go home to keep our troops protected.

The other vulnerable population I am not hearing much about

Mainstream news has recently started to discuss racial disparities, also seeing coverage about people that are incarcerated. What I have not heard much about - people living in homeless shelters.

Shelters are quite often full to the brim. No way to social distance in a homeless shelter with 40-50 other people. I fear that these people will be neglected.

How about a fund to send gloves and masks to people so they have

some manner of protection if they have to go out to vote in Nov? I do hope we can stop Trump and the Republicans and more people will be able to vote by mail or have more days to vote. However in the event that dems are not successful, I think there should be a fund to provide people with masks and gloves so they can better protect themselves when they are out there. Yes I know gloves and masks are not fool proof, but maybe folks would feel better about going to vote.

These items can be bought from sources overseas - I know they are in short supply here.

Gov Cuomo is not running for president or VP. Funny exchange between

him and brother Chris. Watching the re-run on Cuomo on CNN. So much love between them on CNN. Chris is trying to push him on answering if he is going to run for president now that Sanders dropped out and some people in the party are mentioning his name. He showed an old pic of Gov Cuomo in his bell bottoms. It was a funny segment. Put a smile on my face in all this mayhem.

Only One President in the Last 20 Years Wasn't Worried About a Pandemic

Every president for the last 20 years has predicted the eventuality of a pandemic and preached preparedness. Except for Trump

In a November 2005 speech at the National Institutes of Health, Bush laid out proposals in granular detail—describing with stunning prescience how a pandemic in the United States would unfold. Among those in the audience was Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leader of the current crisis response, who was then and still is now the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

“A pandemic is a lot like a forest fire,” Bush said at the time. “If caught early it might be extinguished with limited damage. If allowed to smolder, undetected, it can grow to an inferno that can spread quickly beyond our ability to control it.” . .
“To respond to a pandemic, we need medical personnel and adequate supplies of equipment,” Bush said. “In a pandemic, everything from syringes to hospital beds, respirators masks and protective equipment would be in short supply

“If a pandemic strikes, our country must have a surge capacity in place that will allow us to bring a new vaccine on line quickly and manufacture enough to immunize every American against the pandemic strain,” he said.

The Obama administration created an actual playbook for dealing with a pandemic—the 69-page document is literally called a “playbook”—which they handed off to the Trump administration in 2017.

Target not accepting returns due to Coronavirus

Found this out when I went to turn in my Soda Stream cartridge for a new one. You are supposed to turn the old one in and you get $15 off a new one.
So they gave me one from the back that seems to have been refilled. I don't think it was brand new. I took it home and it does not work, so definitely not new. Sigh, so now I have 2 cartridges that I can't return.

If you need to buy anything at this time, just be mindful that if you need to return it, you may not be able to for some time. Thus, you will have to wait a while to get your money back. Its supposed to be for 3 weeks, then they will resume accepting returns.

One month ago today, Trump said we would be down to zero

ONE MONTH AGO TODAY (3/6)

Trump: "within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done."

He said that on March 6th, Today on April 6th - over 10,000 dead and 364,000 positive cases. And that's what we know- testing is still inadequate so the numbers are probably a lot higher.
