Texas Republicans exposed for their failures with this crisis,

Gov Abbott lies trying to blame renewable energy as the culprit to blame, when he knew from previous weather related energy failures private energy companies needed to winterize their plants better, and he did nothing to make sure that was done. Now he's exposed for it so he scrambling to cover his own ass , and blaming ERCOT, but ERCOT has no power to make these companies do anything, he does.
Ted Cruz just abandoned the people he is suppose to serve, then lied about it after getting caught. Cruz is never going to represent his people, just Ted Cruz, and lie. Will Texans finally vote these bums out of office? We'll see, but I think they will, after hearing all the lying they're doing, and people talking about how badly they've failed them.

Why didn't Texas Gov. Abbott demand energy companies winterize before this happened?

ERCOT didn't have any power to demand that, and knew after the 2011 severe weather event and investigation they were advised to upgrade. So why didn't Abbott make sure they winterized more? He has a lot to answer for after this is over.

If Ted Cruz went to Cancun while Texans suffered,

Its going to be interesting how he'll lie his way out of this now. Abbott is publicly making a fool of himself lying like he is blaming green energy as the cause of this.

Texas Gov Abbott's about to make matters worse,

He doesn't understand the issues well at all , and trying to blame it all on ERCOT, when you can't protect Texas energy companies from the levels of severe weather and ice storms we've seen without major additional investments in many area's. So, guess who'll get stuck for those additional costs and then some? We will, forever. ERCOT"S pr people need to deliver some answers now, how many plants are down for repairs and updating, and give some time lines from those shut down from the storms. All Abbott's going to do is insure rates increase from this.

McConnell attempts to put all the blame on trump,

Claiming he was morally responsible for what happened on Jan. 6th, but really McConnell and the GOP are morally responsible and corrupt for not convicting trump the first time he was impeached, and enabled trump to attack the capital, and they were again morally irresponsible for ignoring the rule of law, and refusing to convict criminal trump , again. So, Republicans must be held accountable by the American people, and trump too, and have consequences, or they will continue their attack on our Democracy. Any we have to heal the nation BS , and allow this to be forgotten will only cause more distrust in our government , and the people in it. McConnell knew all along he wouldn't convict, especially after trump stopped an IG investigation on Mitch and his wife.

All the Republicans that refused to convict last time have blood on their hands now,

And I find it appalling they enabled this to happen where people were murdered , and act like they and trump played no part in it. They were warned it would happen, yet they refused to convict him. By them not convicting him this time they're allowing this to escalate even more, with more violence coming from trump weaponizing his extremist domestic terrorists against anyone , or any group he wants, even them .
GOP taking part in giving that hero capital policeman a award when they caused it, and now protect the person responsible for it, and refuse to convict him is a national disgrace. Republicans will pay the price for years to come at the polls, and they either are for the rule of law, and a Democracy, or against it, and now is their chance to break away from putin and fascist trump, or embrace them to over throw our government. Those in the Congress compromised by putin and trump , and forced to vote against convicting trump will be exposed , and charged for their involvement . This will backfire on them badly if they don't convict trump, and prevent him ever holding office again. If they refuse to convict, their Republican party will self destruct, and not be viable again for a long , long time.

The reasons I think GOP Senators will refuse to convict trump,

1. They're scared he will turn his weaponized followers on them
2. They're compromised from taking money from Putin
3. They know they'll get a primary opponent , losing their job
4. They think they can get his supporters for their political future runs
5. They're cowards
6. They don't want to go to prison
7. They don't believe laws apply to them.
Those that vote to convict will be remember for their courage , and for honoring their oath of office they took. DOJ has some work to do now exposing them all, especially trump and his family , and criminal partners . Did I miss any?
