I have a short free trial, so have the audiobook, but not enough time to hear it all. Can anyone point to sections that are very interesting and mostly not reported in the media? Something I'm not likely to have already heard about? Thanks much!.

The way things have been going lately, with huge stories breaking daily, every single day that Kavanaugh is not yet on the SC is a win.
I cannot understand why there are so many posts on DU downplaying this! Is there a risk it's another Dan Rather situation? Of course, but: we are at the point where it behooves us to try *anything* to delay this confirmation! No matter what. Any effort we make now will pale in comparison to what we would have to do *later* to reverse this abomination!
We've been begging and screaming for the Dems to do something, and then Booker stepped up. Now DiFi does something and some people are dismissing it before really knowing any facts!
We are fighting a ground war right now, where every single inch of territory gained is a victory!

ETA 2: yesterday, the Intercept was the only one covering this story, so we were waiting to see if any action would be taken, which apparently has happened.
In short, DiFi has referred to the FBI a letter that she has received regarding a woman's complaint against Kavanaugh, seemingly related to something she says happened during High School, which they attended together.

3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000...

This evokes the maddening practice within journalism where, in the moments following a disaster, the media inevitably report:

But Trump (who, incidentally, relies on opinions he formed 30 years ago) never does the update thing.
"Oh? No casualties reported, you say? Must not have been that serious!"
Can a distinction be made between "voted for" and "elected by" please?
Yes, this is perhaps to be seen as a technicality, but can we use the phrase "elected by" (as in, Electoral College) as opposed to "voted for" (as in, by the American public)?
God this must be a dead horse by now, but it grates on my last nerve whenever I see any Trumpers say how Trump was "voted for" by the majority of the people.
NO, HE WASN'T, for the.last time!
In fact, Clinton was "voted for" by several millions more Americans than Trump was.
He was "elected by" the EC.
It is *not* a distinction without a difference. Correct them when they say it.
