Don't get distracted; talk about The Treason!

Trump & Co. have spent the last two days hammering on the idea that we have to open schools on time and in-person. He's got his toadies in the Virginia General Assembly pushing forward legislation to that effect. I'm sure he's got legislative sympathizers across the nation doing the same thing. Is this an important issue? Absolutely! I'm a high school teacher. Most people on here have kids or grandkids or nieces or nephews that this policy directly effects. This is something everyone can get passionate about, and if my social media feeds are any indication, it's working. He desperately needs a win on the economy, and he thinks if he can get the schools open and parents back to work, things will rebound enough that me might squeak out a win (at the cost of student and teacher health and another massive viral spike).
But there is something else this serves to do; distract us from the Russian Treason Scandal. With everyone up in arms about Trump and DeVos proclaiming that schools need to open and they will be cutting funding (neither thing they can actually do, btw), no one is talking about The Treason. So whatever they throw at us over the next few months, you need to talk about The Treason. Trump has a gift for sucking up all the oxygen in the room, and he's doing it again with the school distraction. SCOTUS is probably ruling about Trump's taxes today, and whatever happens, that's something else he's trying to distract us from. It's going to be a big deal no matter which way they vote. When you talk about it, tie it into The Treason. Every comment, every discussion, every social media post about Trump you have over the next 3 1/2 months, talk about The Treason.
"Yes, it's insanely reckless that Trump wants to re-open schools. Don't forget The Treason."
"I know it's outrageous that he's replacing Pence at the last minute with Kanye West. But let's talk about The Treason."
"He's opening a unicorn petting zoo on the White House lawn and giving everyone in the country a free unicorn ride! Cool! Hey, remember that whole Treason thing?"

How much Russian influence has there been on masks?

We know that Russia has been meddling in our elections, and attacking us through social media. What I'd love to know is how much of our current mask freak outs have been influenced by Russia?

Proud to be a bad, evil person!

Has an American President ever thought that 60% of the country are "bad, evil people"? That's what he, in his 2nd grade vocabulary, thinks about you, me, and everyone who doesn't drink his particular brand of flavor-aid. He literally said it last night in his latest bout of low-energy verbal diarrhea.
4th of July speeches are supposed to inspire and motivate us to be better citizens. And if that's the case, then mission accomplished. I feel motivated and energized for the long slog to the election. I am ready to do everything I can to show him just how band and evil I am by voting him out of office and helping to rebuild a government that works for everyone.
