Calling historians: What would a military coup look like?

I know that it's very dangerous. Can someone give us the up and the down of how it might look here and now, succinctly?

Note for Agent Mike. No one here has the power to deliver one. We are just applying history to today for purposes of study.

The jury not only wasn’t sequestered—jurors mingled freely in the courthouse elevators, cafeteria and hallways with reporters and spectators. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Again, this is a CRIME.

Do NOT call this a political move or political calculation. It is a CRIME. The crime is WITNESS TAMPERING. You can't do it. People go to prison for it. Attorneys must SPEAK OUT now. His INTENT was published on Twitter. This is the ACT. And it's CRIMINAL.

re: stripping clearances....I heard an expert say on MSNBC 11th Hour...

....that it is not lawful to revoke a security clearance from someone who is reporting unlawful behavior/actions.

Brian's ears perked up (as did mine) and he noted that he was grateful for that information new to the discussion. Can we research that?

Roll Call: Trump qualified DAA with a signing statement on Crimea.

[link:https://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/trump-wont-follow-congressional-directives-russia-crimea|

President Donald Trump objects to an effort by Congress to prevent his administration from recognizing Crimea as part of Russia.

Crimea is a region in Ukraine that has been occupied by Russia for several years, with the Russian Federation having claimed to have annexed the region in March 2014. Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed the territorial matter is settled, but many in Washington disagree.

Language in the fiscal 2019 defense authorization, which Trump signed into law Monday during a ceremony at Fort Drum in upstate New York, purported to impose a funding blockade on the Pentagon acting on recognition of Crimea as part of Russia.

Did you see Stephen Miller's uncle with Andrea Mitchell today?

He's a retired neuropsychologist....a very sober, thoughtful man. Let's try to find the video clip when it's available. He was there to talk about the effects of forced separation on children of immigrants, and had information on the children sent out of London during the Blitz and the after effects of that trauma.

I just realized how long some of us have been doing this s*t.

For me, it began when I saw the squad of trained robo-blondes arrive on cable news to attack Bill Clinton for consensual sex. (He hadn't lied about it yet.) The blondes were dispatched by Richard Mellon Scaife. They had talking points and boob jobs. And then men (not blonde, no boob jobs, but with the talking points) arrived to assist. We saw an organized propagandized attack weaponized.

What year was that? 1998?

And then came the frantic effort of fellow netizens to break the story of George W. Bush*'s AWOL. Lord, that was quite an effort by many people. Karl Rove foiled it on the Friday before election by leaking W's DUI story to a FOX affiliate and blowing out of the water the AWOL story just as Senator Bob Kerrey was about to hold a press conference to ask W to explain his absence from his post during wartime. !!

Then came Bush v. Gore. Oy.

And 9/11.

And the rigged election of 2004.

The attacks on Obama.

The 2016 election. 'Nuff said.

And here we are. Still at it. Not at 2400 bpm. But with Russians. And Republicans who are open traitors.

That's a freaking twenty years!

The TV ads for Kavanaugh are from the NRA -- perhaps with Russian funding

What a world. Are the Russians paying to smooth the path for Kavanaugh by paying NRA to run ads?

WASHINGTON – The National Rifle Association has launched a seven-figure national and regional ad campaign, urging confirmation of President Donald Trump's pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.
