We have to stop assuming that he's just inadequate.
The intentions were stated by his strategist Steve Bannon: Shutter government; break down its structures.
Look what has happened.
The cabinet is largely "acting" and outside Congress confirmation.
Positions are empty all over the government because there was never any attempt to fill them. It's getting worse as time goes on.
That red light has been flashing from the beginning.
And now he has simply furloughed government workers, with no expectation of calling them back. A drain on services, but also on the economy.
Is this a plan, not simply an event?
What if the stealth way of breaking a country is to empty its government of experienced workers?

Seth Abramson saying the Grand Bargain Trump story is too big for a platform.
Last evening, he was musing on Twitter about the immense size of the conspiracy to re-order the geo-political world called the Grand Bargain, of which Trump is a part, and how Twitter can't handle it, and a book takes too long to write and publish, etc.
Today I messaged him that a web site could handle it. Could have space for documents, files, text, all of it. I suggested that he would have no trouble finding someone to help him build it gratis.
No one has a better handle on it than Abramson. No one has the creds to do this but him.
Any thoughts?

Phooey. No turkey today.
When I opened the packaging on the fresh turkey, it smelled off. It doesn't outdate until the 31st. I googled "how do I know if my fresh turkey is bad" and yep, it's bad.
What a disappointment!
Fortunately, we are making spanikopita and have dolmas and good bread and various other treats.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have sent military forces to areas controlled by the Kurdish YPG group in north-east Syria, Turkey’s Yenisafak newspaper reported.
The paper said the forces will be stationed with US-led coalition troops and will support its tasks with huge military enforcements as well as heavy and light weapons.
Quoting the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the newspaper reported that a convoy of troops belonging to an Arab Gulf state recently arrived in the contact area between the Kurdish PKK/YPG and Daesh in the Deir Ez-Zor countryside.
