Climate State: Published on 15 Aug 2018
Okay, if you're sick and tired of me posting climate change videos, just let me know. I am not here to push a personal agenda.
But I do believe this Dantean summer, both here and in Britain, Greece, Iberia, Sweden, Japan, etc has truly begun to shove the REALITY of global warming into the faces of deniers! In fact, I know two people, one friend, one family, who've begun to rethink their formerly-staunch denialism because of what is right in front of their eyes!
Just as we must be relentless in signing up voters to overturn the Apple Cart of Orange Traitor this November, we must be more insistent on making sure our children and grandchildren continue living on Earth, not Venus!
End of rant.

I'm not saying this is true. I am saying that I've watched several Democracy Now! videos, at least two on this very site, and they have NOT struck me as conspiracy-mongering. That being said, I do look at this vid with some skepticism.

PM Modi says India to launch its first manned space mission by 2022
Source: Business Today India
Last Updated: August 15, 2018 | 10:59 IST
India will launch its first manned space mission by 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today, which could make it the fourth nation to do so after the United States, Russia and China. An Indian astronaut, be it a man or a woman, will go on a space odyssey by 2022 on board 'Gaganyaan', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his Independence Day address from the Red Fort in Delhi.
PM Modi said when India celebrates 75th year of Independence in 2022, "and if possible even before, an Indian son or daughter" will be part of a manned space mission on board 'Gaganyaan' "carrying the national flag".

Al Gore: Trump has had 'less of an impact on environment so far than I feared'
Source: The Hill
Former Vice President Al Gore said Monday that President Trump has not damaged the environment during his first 18 months in office as badly as he feared.
Gore, a Nobel Peace Prize winner for his anti-climate change efforts, told The Associated Press that Trump's administration has, however, done "some damage" by undoing a slew of environmental regulations, including many put in place by the Obama administration.
[Trump] has had less of an impact so far than I feared that he would," Gore said. "Someone said last year his administration is a blend of malevolence and incompetence.
I think theyve made some mistakes in some of the moves theyve made," he continued. "The courts have blocked some of what they wanted to do as a result.

Maybe this reassures people worrying about the climate. Maybe Trump hears it and thinks Gore is challenging his Massive Orange Potency and doubles down on destroying the ecosphere. I honestly have no idea what to make of this story.

Suspected militants held in Jordan after fatal police car bombing
Source: Sydney Morning Herald - Australia

Amman: A Jordanian official says five suspected militants are in custody after opening fire and setting off explosions that killed three members of the security forces and collapsed a multi-story building.
The clash late on Saturday in the town of as-Salt raised new concerns about militants' attempts to carry out large-scale attacks to destabilise the pro-Western kingdom.
The Hala Akhbar news website linked to Jordan's military said on Sunday that the suspects are Jordanians and that the cell planned to attack security installations and other sensitive targets.

Destabilizing a pro-Western government? Be careful, militants: Trump might just sue you for trademark infringement.

Well, I gotta give props to any Fundamentalist 'Christians' who might be lurking here: You people have been shouting yourselves hoarse that we're all headed for Hell, and it's starting to look like you were right all along. Too bad it's been science-denying idiots like you who've led the march to this point, huh?
Ah, well, at least you'll burn up along with the rest of us. Don't expect Satan to greet you in the flames, and don't expect God to save you from the flames, because neither one exists! We were gifted with a randomly-evolved Paradise, and are turning it into a deliberately-constructed Inferno. Gaia Damn Us All.
