Journalist(s) will be murdered in the US soon.

I'm not saying there are going to be a rash of journalists murdered in this country but at least one is going to be murdered soon. Trump is promoting violence toward them and mental health care in this country is a joke. Even under the best of care it is still up to the individual. I don't think this is hyperbole. The President of the US is instigating individuals in what will be the death of a member of the free press.

The possible consequences for Trumps speech are known. It's very close to yelling fire in a crowded theater at this point in time.

Manafort has reportedly visited Mueller's office 9 times over the past month, for hours at a time

Paul Manafort has visited the special counsel Robert Mueller's office at least nine times over the past month, for hours at a time, CNN reported this week.

According to CNN, a black SUV carrying Manafort has been seen arriving at Mueller's office at about 10 a.m. ET several times since September. Manafort's lawyers are said to arrive at the same time, with them all spending about six hours inside the special counsel's office at a time.

Manafort pleaded guilty in September to two counts of conspiracy and obstruction as part of the ongoing Russia investigation.

He is arguably Mueller's most significant cooperating witness to date, given his role leading President Donald Trump's campaign during the most pivotal period in the 2016 election.

The world's largest organism is dying, but there are still ways to save it

Behold the Pando aspen clone, a sprawling carpet of vibrant green-yellow quaking aspens occupying more than 100 acres outside the Fishlake National Forest in Utah.

The "Trembling Giant," as it is known, is actually a massive single organism connected by one sprawling root system. This ancient marvel of nature is thousands of years old -- scientists don't know exactly how old -- and is considered the largest living organism on Earth.

Unfortunately, it's also dying. And humans may be responsible.

Jamal Khashoggi's Last Column Before Disappearance Calls For Free Expression

The Washington Post has published the last column Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi wrote before he disappeared on Oct. 2 after entering the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Istanbul.

"We held on to this column he filed the day before he entered the consulate in the hopes that we could edit it with him, as we normally did," Fred Hiatt, who runs the Post's Opinions section, told NPR.

"And we waited, and we waited, and I think the fact that we published today is kind of an acknowledgement to ourselves, as well as to the world, that we don't have much hope that we're going to be able to edit this one with him or that we'll ever be getting another column from him," Hiatt said.

Khashoggi's disappearance has ignited a diplomatic crisis between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. On Thursday, when President Trump was asked whether he thought Khashoggi is dead, he said it "certainly looks that way to me." He said the administration was waiting for multiple investigations to conclude and that potential consequences would be "very severe."

Leaked RNC Poll Reveals the Midterms Are All About Trump

President Donald Trump told the Associated Press on Tuesday that he won’t be to blame if the GOP loses big on Nov. 6, but a private Republican Party survey leaked to Bloomberg Businessweek concludes that he will. The internal report, conducted last month for the Republican National Committee by the polling firm Public Opinion Strategies, states explicitly that “research indicates the determining factor in this election is how voters feel about President Trump.” A representative for the RNC declined to comment.

Facebook co-founder wants to repeal Trump tax cuts to pay for a $500 per month basic worker income

Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes said Thursday the federal government could give U.S. workers a stipend of $500 per month by repealing the tax cuts passed late last year.

Hughes, author of "Fair Shot: Rethinking Inequality and How We Earn" and an advocate for a basic income, argued that less than a third of Americans have reaped the benefits of President Donald Trump's tax cuts.

"Everybody else, they're making the same amount that they made in 1978," Hughes said in a "Squawk Box" interview. Meanwhile, the cost of living, including health care, housing and education has risen, he added.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-California, introduced on Thursday the Lift the Middle Class Act, which would provide monthly payments of up to $500 per month to lower-income families, on top of the benefits they already receive. She proposed repealing the Trump cuts to pay for it.
