Is outrageous this is occurring in 21st century America.

The attitude of the collections attorney is chilling. He feeds upon the downtrodden without guilt and enjoys the quiet of his economically depressed town. Heís in such an ugly bubble of his own making that to call someone a Hassenplug (his name) could be an epithet rivaling any of those lobbed at tRump.

On edit: I had to revisit the must read article and was compelled to comment further on how astoundingly awful a hassenplug can be.

Astros beat the Yankees in the 11th!!!

I love these post season slog games.

Go Stros!

Yes, and I thought her interview on Hayes' show was bold

So good, that I took a picture of the TV screen during the interview.

Hopefully, her book I preordered will be waiting for me when I arrive home in some days.

Journaling, because dang,...that's a lot, even for Sept. 27, 2019

Thank you, Roland, for pulling together the eye-popping barrage of late news on a Friday evening.

Journaling to read a little later

Thanks for posting it with your helpful summary!

With his latest abuse of power, he's asking to be impeached

He must be called on his crimes. Let his republicon enablers have their cowling to him and disrespect for our democracy recorded for history. Make them answer for their complicity.

Iíve seen enough of the GOPersí trickery and lawlessness used to wield halting control over a vast electorate that does not want to go backwards.

I do not want the desperate living they are conning people into on faux news, etc.

I am the concerned* citizen who found her white board and markers this weekend.

Iím, eh, exhausted and retooling. Itís time to focus. Thereís voters to register. The kids in the streets this past weekend are fighting for our future, and they neednít do it alone.

*By concerned, I mean, pissed-off, re-reactivated, more aware than ever, and unwilling to submit to the pResident and gangís efforts to demoralize at least a nationís worth of good-hearted people.

If there was ever a morning for animal pancakes

This is it.

And, Iím gonna go ahead, and reserve the right to play Yahtzee with squirrels any dang time I please.

SCE, Thank you for another pleasant wake up!

The first line in your reply is on my list of all time favorites on DU.

I'm humbled that you sent that in response to my yammering. Am still learning how to combine grace and wit on DU, and frankly, I may never quite 'get it' like some of the wise voices I look to on DU. And I'm okay with that, as long as I can be helpful on this nifty forum.

Some tRump news weeks have been so hard to process next to the goings on in my personal life, that I breakdown and start metaphorically throwing things. I'll adjust, and introduce some, eh, discipline.

I feel a deep gratitude for your kind words and insight.

And I think I did need that DU hug more than I realized.

Ah, shucks, you're the one feeling thru things here on the regular

I don't half know where to place my Jesus-loving, Buddhist-minded, atheistic self, but I know I'm not that far from those who appreciate the beauty of those whom can feel: people are good/ can be good. I have to believe this. I'm good with such an assumption.

You're good. We're good. We just need to lift up? Yes?

That's what I feel. Doesn't make it any easier to witness these cruelties upon us and those stupidly considered different from us.

Is just how I'm going thru this - I really have no idea, but I have to keep going...& you tooo! We shall resist, persist, and survive. There's too many answers to human life's problems to let the profiteers of cruelty get away with their designs.
