*** Protecting the Timely Delivery of Mail - House Oversight Hearing***

Protecting the Timely Delivery of Mail, Medicine, and Mail-in Ballots

He said the executive orders fit in two different buckets

One being a “wouldn’t it be nice” category that includes such feckless ideas like having the exec branch research how to do anything about evictions, and the deferral of payroll taxes as some kind of fix rather than what it is - a questionable punt on the whole matter.

And the other is the especially unlawful kind like the pResident over-extending his powers to allocate $400 to citizens without an act of Congress.

Basically, the only thing he did with any force was forgive student loan debt interest through a law pursued by Clinton in 1993 and voted into law by Congress with Biden voting for it and Gore casting the deciding vote. Ha!

This is a very rough paraphrasing without the benefit of rewinding, so catch the segment as it was a rather plain laying-out of tRump’s bs from over the weekend.

Oh, that's so good

Thank you for sharing this - I needed to read that today, and probably again tomorrow...

Whoa. That's scary.

Let me get this straight... She helped draft and pass the resolution to join the DOJ’s suit against sanctuary city laws and went about touting her anti-immigration official policies on fox cult views, repeatedly.

Oh, but now that she’s running for dana “never left a ruble on the ground” rohrabacher’s old seat, she’s suddenly sympathetic to immigrants when presenting herself to a primarily Vietnamese audience?

How do republicans find the worst people? I mean, this is bad. She, too, is a lying tRumpist jerk willing to harm people for publicity and power.

Was gonna comment just so I could journal this

In order to bring it up on Monday.

Instead, I think I’ll throw that headline in my signature for a few days.

And here’s the link to the underlying WaPo reporting: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ivanka-trump-and-jared-kushner-earned-at-least-36-million-in-outside-income-last-year-new-disclosures-show/2020/07/31/9eb71e66-d36a-11ea-8c55-61e7fa5e82ab_story.html

Jamie Raskin brought up this article a few mins ago during questioning Dr Fauci

before the House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Select Coronavirus Crisis.

The VF article comes up about four mins into the video, but the whole clip is worth watching.

He starts by laying waste to 1st Amendment argument against limiting church gatherings for public health reasons by citing the 5-4 SCOTUS decision that found that imposed crowd size restrictions were no different for other large indoor gatherings. Then, he clearly lays out the differences in the public health threats and responses for rw protests against public health orders, and anti-maskers threatening the governor of Michigan versus the peaceful BLM protestors who do observe health precautions. Notably, he raised the issue of intentionally using chemical irritants to inflame protestors to coughing and sneezing. Finally, in outlining the VF article that details kushner’s hushed efforts, Raskin reveals that the reason the plan was scuttled was due to the depraved political calculation that the deadly virus should only effect largely Democratic voting areas.

Wow. Am sharing with my peeps.

And my brain sincerely thanks you for this well-timed OP and reminder. Is very helpful, as I have needed to go back and sharpen my internal timeline of all that has occurred in regards to russian dealings with tRump and republicons over recent years. We’ve just had so much thrown at us, that it is good to step back and behold the litany of it.
