Marianne Williamson and Gen Z

OMFG -- my 22 YO son who just graduated with a chemical engineering degree and gets so much info from the internet was screaming at me that the only legitimate progressive running for President is Marianne Williamson....

He then screamed at me that the idea that she is an astroturf plant to weaken Biden paid for by billionaires is just a smear campaign from "establishment Democrats who are antiworker just like Hillary was."

Somewhere in the recesses of the internet, this chemical engineering major thinks that both Clintons were antiworker and that Hillary lost because she ignored flyover states (not sure he understands what a flyover state is even though we moved to Iowa when he was in JH) and not because of Russian disinformation suppressing and funneling Black votes on top of voter suppression in Rethug states.

This is scary that a smart kid can believe that Dems are antiworker.

Of course, trying to explain 'do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good' and you have to get legislation that will actually get through both the house and senate with the filibuster, Manchin, Sinema, etc ....

He hates Rethugs but thinks that Dems only protect the wealthy and not workers too.

Us open ...what a joke

Was not going to watch and support sports washing bone saw money, but the TV turned on to that channel.

Just watched one of the leaders miss the fairway into the "rough" on hole 1. Then second shot hit in "rough" and rolled into fairway. Third shot safely on green to putt for birdie.

The US open she uld have rough so thick that no one should get into it and get a chance at a birdie....much less roll out of rough into a fairway.

Won't watch another minute.

They will come up with some bullshit stays about how this was the best open ever with the mist players under par, furthest under par, etc. This looks as easy as some random tournament in the middle of summer.

Secret service and their oath and duty to stop crime

I looked up this

An individual, except the President, elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services, shall take the following oath: “I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” This section does not affect other oaths required by law.

(Pub. L. 89–554, Sept. 6, 1966, 80 Stat. 424.)

It seems like every secret service agent should have said and done something about all the espionage/treason that was going on. Clearly, some of them saw crimes and did nothing about it. THat sure seems like they should all be disciplined, probably fired, and many prosecuted.

We might have a lot less criminal behavior by senior politicians if they knew that civil servants would actually live up to their oath to protect from domestic enemies.

Can any of the legal eagles here explain how the secret service dudes who heard and saw the planning for Jabuary 6 or any of the document things in the indictment aren't being disciplined?
