Look at me! I'm Girl President! And not a hair out of place! Buy my shoes!
"NO ONE WANTS A RECESSION" Sounds like MNSBC HQ riding all hosts today to say this
I've heard all day long on MSNBC. The bosses must have sent down a mandate to every show - trumpy and the GOP are in a snit about the recession! make sure you say we don't want a recession to appease them because we are weak and cowardly! their demagoguing criticism hurts our fee fees!
wonder if trump/Cotton understand most residents of Greenland are Inuits
or, in their parlance, not white people
are they too dumb to know this
I have a feeling if they knew this their interest would suddenly evaporate.
election-stealing mentally-deranged psycho trump can still put people on the Supreme Court
and the GOP would let him
Jay Inslee is a good, good man. I'm glad I got to know him better-he needs a high profile
in our party from here on. He needs to be a part of our leadership team.
Memory Hole: Trump at Yad Vashem leaves bizarre, disrespectful note
trump is such a goddamn shit-for-brains asshole.
Pretending to be Israel's ally - when he doesn't have the first fucking idea about anything. At all.
This morning, President Donald Trump visited Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust memorial museum on the edge of Jerusalem.
...
And, when he left, he signed the guest book: It is a great honor to be here with all of my friends so amazing and will never forget!
...Journalists and activists immediately took Trump to task. Yair Rosenberg of Tablet magazine wrote on Twitter that it was basically just what teenagers write in each others high school yearbooks.
...His advance team had reportedly initially scheduled him for a scant 15 minutes in the museum and thats including the time it would take for him to sign the guest book, lay a wreath, and deliver his remarks. (He ended up onsite for nearly 30 minutes.)
Barack Obamas message reads:
I am grateful to Yad Vashem and all of those responsible for this remarkable institution. At a time of great peril and promise, war and strife, we are blessed to have such a powerful reminder of mans potential for great evil, but also our capacity to rise up from tragedy and remake our world. Let our children come here, and know this history, so that they can add their voices to proclaim never again. And may we remember those who perished, not only as victims but also as individuals who hoped and loved and dreamed like us, and who have become symbols of the human spirit.

Declare a democratic worldview
One of my favorite articles. A great, brief, plain-spoken refresher on our progressive DNA as a nation.
The Declaration of Independence sets forth a worldview that, back in the 18th century, served as the foundation of our new nation. This foundation was composed of the principle of human equality and the rights of self-determination implied by the famous phrase "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
Back then, this foundation was sufficient to support the society we hoped to build, one free of the economic monopolies, religious authoritarianism and military brutality embodied, respectively, in the English nobility, the Church of England and England's Redcoat soldiers. As large as these forces loomed over the colonists in the New World, these were forces still dwarfed by the Atlantic Ocean, the American wilderness and the sheer number of people they aimed to dominate.
...
When we won our independence, we dismantled all the power platforms setting some human beings above others. Against the concentration of wealth and power of the classist aristocracy, we built the one-person, one-vote principle. Against the psychological oppression of religious authoritarianism, we constructed the doctrine of separation of church and state. And against the physical domination of mercenary armies, we instituted civilian control of the military.
But then we lost our way. After the Civil War, corporations stole the principle of equality and put it in the service of nonhuman monetary engines antagonistic to our democratic political process......

Lawrence raising point: Hillary is to Benghazi as Barr is to Epstein (right-wing hypocrisy)
If Hillary is "somehow responsible" for what happened in Libya, then why wouldn't Barr be responsible for what happened to a prisoner under the control of his DOJ via the Federal prison system????
The problem is not socialism. It's rigged capitalism.
ATTENTION DEM POLS: Good messaging --- good sound bite: The problem is not socialism. It's rigged capitalism.

The benefits of growth accrue primarily to the top 1 percent and hardly at all to the bottom 90 percent. Trump was elected because of people's outrage with the system that made this happen and disenfranchised them (HRC was seen as part of the establishment that made it happen.)
But he has proven to be the most corrupt president ever--self-dealing & working to empower the richest and to plunder the country's assets on their behalf. He has taken advantage of campaign finance laws (and rulings like Citizens United) that have further empowered the powerful.
