A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, "Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up." After a few seconds, Little Larry stood up.
The teacher said, "Do you think you're stupid, Larry?"
"No ma'am," replied Larry, "but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself."
Well, I spent the afternoon out stimulating the economy,
thanks to the COVID money that finally showed up in my account this morning.
It's great to have finally been included in the payments.

I just saw him interviewed on TRMS, and once again, I'm extremely impressed.
I'm glad I donated to his campaign - both the last one and for 2022.
I'm grateful that the pandemic isolation has gotten me to start cooking again....

They're calling it Biden's first major legislative achievement....
Indeed....And coming within the first 30-40 days....Passed ONLY by Democrats.
Let's not forget that the ONLY major legislative achievement that Trump and the ReQublicans EVER had was the massive tax give-away to the wealthiest among us.
Never let anyone forget - The Democrats are the party of the working people in this country....
Hope re the filibuster!
If you didn't see the segment on Lawrence O.'s The Last Word with Norm Ornstein, be sure to see it on re-run. He describes the way around the choke-hold we're in re the filibuster, AND it gives a nod to Manchin and Sinema so that they don't have to go against their promises to their voters to preserve it.
I went to bed so depressed last night that we are so screwed without passing HR1, and that it won't be possible to pass it in the Senate, but Ornstein's plan lifts us out of that hole, and I have hope tonight!
Ornstein's plan would revive the original intent and process of the filibuster and shift the burden of executing it once again to the minority, rather than letting them not even have to lift a finger to stop legislation. Sorry that I can't explain it in more detail but here's Ornstein's article in the WAPO.

Easiest lasagna ever!
Ravioli lasagna:
Just layer frozen ravioli (I use the organic spinach ones from Costco) with sauce, veggies, crumbles (meat or veggie) and cheese. Takes literally 10 minutes.....Then bake it covered at 400 for 40-45 min. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven.
Viola!!
