J.D. Vance wrote "Trump might be America's Hitler" in 2016

J.D. knew one when a NAZI Führer when saw one. Now he has Dimdonnie Drumpfler’s oh fishy Ohio endorsement.

J.D. Vance Worried Trump Was 'America's Hitler' in Text Shared by Roommate

Newsweek, 4/18/22

Trump-backed Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance once reportedly worried the former president could be "America's Hitler" in a resurfaced text message, his former college roommate claimed Monday.

Vance, the Hillbilly Elegy author, who was once a critic of former President Donald Trump, scored his endorsement in the GOP primary last week, potentially offering his campaign a boost in a crowded field to replace outgoing Republican Senator Rob Portman.

Georgia Representative Josh McLaurin, a Democrat, who said he was Vance's roommate while at Yale University, shared the text message that was from 2016 on Twitter that he claimed to be from Vance.

For some reason, the story’s vanished from The Week

The New Safari Club. Same as the Old Safari Club.

How a Deep State Plot Sank Jimmy Carter

WhoWhatWhy.Org, 11/02/14

The Safari Club was an alliance between national intelligence agencies that wished to compensate for the CIA’s retrenchment in the wake of President Carter’s election and Senator Church’s post-Watergate reforms. As former Saudi intelligence chief Prince Turki bin Faisal once told Georgetown University alumni,

In 1976, after the Watergate matters took place here, your intelligence community was literally tied up by Congress. It could not do anything. It could not send spies, it could not write reports, and it could not pay money. In order to compensate for that, a group of countries got together in the hope of fighting Communism and established what was called the Safari Club. The Safari Club included France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Iran. (1)

After Carter was elected, the Safari Club allied itself with Richard Helms and Theodore Shackley against the more restrained intelligence policies of Jimmy Carter, according to Joseph Trento. In Trento’s account, the dismissal by William Colby in 1974 of CIA counterintelligence chief James Angleton,

combined with Watergate, is what prompted the Safari Club to start working with [former DCI Richard] Helms [then U.S. Ambassador to Iran] and his most trusted operatives outside of Congressional and even Agency purview. James Angleton said before his death that “Shackley and Helms … began working with outsiders like Adham and Saudi Arabia. The traditional CIA answering to the president was an empty vessel having little more than technical capability.”(2)

Trento adds that “The Safari Club needed a network of banks to finance its intelligence operations. With the official blessing of George Bush as the head of the CIA, Adham transformed . . . the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), into a worldwide money-laundering machine.”(3) Trento claims also that the Safari Club then was able to work with some of the controversial CIA operators who had been forced out of the CIA by Turner, and that this was coordinated by Theodore Shackley:

Shackley, who still had ambitions to become DCI, believed that without his many sources and operatives like [Edwin] Wilson, the Safari Club—operating with [former DCI Richard] Helms in charge in Tehran—would be ineffective. . . . Unless Shackley took direct action to complete the privatization of intelligence operations soon, the Safari Club would not have a conduit to [CIA] resources. The solution: create a totally private intelligence network using CIA assets until President Carter could be replaced. (4)

From Salon:

Last Thursday, Michael Jensen, a senior researcher at the University of Maryland's National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START center), released preliminary findings on the ideological motivations and connections of about 30 percent of all Jan. 6 defendants. While his research is ongoing, Jensen has already found that at least 244 of the 816 people arrested to date were either members of "extremist" organizations or self-identified with them. In his widely-shared map of the network (embedded below), Jensen documented at least 700 relationships between the defendants and both well-known far-right groups as well as more diffuse movements, including white nationalists, anti-vaccination activists, militias, militant anti-abortion groups, QAnon adherents and more.

Remember SILVERADO Neil Bush next time you hear 'laptop' mentioned.

A billion dollars from the taxpayers to make whole a federally insured S&L looted by the son of the Vice President at the time, George Herbert Walker Bush. Let off scot-free, as they say, to go on to bigger and better things.

From the Best Way to Rob a Bank Department:

Silverado collapse cost taxpayers $1 billion

PUBLISHED: September 29, 2008 at 5:43 p.m. | UPDATED: May 7, 2016 at 3:23 a.m.

Colorado had front-row seats to the last U.S. financial crisis that led to a multibillion-dollar bailout.

During the savings-and-loan debacle that began in the mid-1980s, federal authorities took over 18 Colorado thrifts, more than in any state except Texas and California.

The failure of one of Colorado’s thrifts, Silverado Banking Savings and Loan, was legendary. Its collapse in 1988 cost taxpayers $1 billion and entangled prominent Denver businessmen, including Neil Bush.

The son of then-President George H.W. Bush and a brother of the current president, Neil Bush was on Silverado’s board of directors. Silverado made loans to developers who owned shares in the thrift and who had bankrolled Neil Bush’s oil company.

In what was considered a largely symbolic ruling, Neil Bush was barred by an administrative judge from having conflicts of interest at a savings and loan again.

But no one brings that up, at all. But they do talk about a certain laptop, without asking, “How did it get in possession of the GOP?”, let alone, “Who stole it?”

Did they switch brands of Kitty Litter again?

Wrong kitty litter the culprit for WIPP release

The contents of a failed waste barrel at the WIPP underground disposal site were "chemically incompatible", said the Department of Energy's (DOE's) technical report today, with a certain brand of cat litter playing a major role in the incident.

World Nuclear News, March 25, 2015

Without saying how the situation came about, the report explained how a mixture of nitrate salts in the waste reacted with SwheatScoop cat litter to produce heat and gases that eventually caused the barrel seal to fail. The announcement confirms rumours that circulated shortly after the release that an incorrect choice of cat litter had led to the issue.

In many industries cat litter is used as a convenient absorbant, and each barrel of waste disposed of at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) contains around 26 kg of cat litter to stabilise liquids and nitrate salts. However, SwheatScoop happens to be made from wheat and therefore contains carbohydrates which provided fuel for a chemical reaction with the metal nitrate salts being disposed of. The reaction is exothermic, which means it produces heat. The increase in temperature then accelerated the reaction, leading to a runaway effect which eventually produced enough heat and gas to overcome the barrel's vent and seal to cause a release of some radioactive material.

Although this conclusion cannot be confirmed without examining the barrel, the report said that samples of material ejected from the barrel contained sodium carbonate which was likely present as a result of the reaction described above. A truck had caught fire in WIPP only one week before the incident, but the technical report ruled this out as a factor.

WIPP is owned by the DOE and operated by Nuclear Waste Partnership and is the country's facility for the disposal of transuranic, or TRU, nuclear waste from the US military program. The waste - clothing, tools, rags, residues, debris, soil and items contaminated with small amounts of plutonium and other man-made radioactive elements - is sealed in containers and placed in panels carved out of the underground rock salt formation. The surrounding salt ensures a dry environment while natural geologic processes cause the salt to compact around the packages. Detecting the rupture via air ventilation and monitoring systems on 14 February 2014, WIPP managers evacuated the site, shut down its operation and began an investigation. No significant radioactivity reached the surface.
