Sinema Trolls Reporter When Pressed On Progressives Frustration
Amid her continued reluctance to give an acceptable topline on the reconciliation bill, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) dodged NBC News Frank Thorps question when asked about progressives frustration over her refusal to offer specifics on what she would like to see in the package.
Im in the Senate, Sinema told Thorp.
After Thorp pointed out that there are progressives in the Senate who are also frustrated with her because they dont know where you are, Sinema once again dodged.
Im clearly right in front of the elevator, Sinema told Thorp.

And THAT is one of the key people obstructing President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda once again just trying to be a bit too "cute".
Our Choice: President Biden sets our agenda or Manchin & Sinema do
That's what this all boils down to.
I choose President Biden.
That's the only thing that makes sense since President Biden has been elected nationally on his agenda, has consulted with party leadership and has the support of the vast majority of Democrats in Congress.
In A Win For Progressives, Nancy Pelosi Raises The Bar For Infrastructure Vote
Source: Huffington Post
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested Wednesday that Democrats need to agree among themselves on the text of a major budget bill before the House can vote on a bipartisan infrastructure bill. Her comments appeared to raise the bar for an infrastructure bill to move forward, making it far less likely a vote will occur on Thursday as planned.
Progressive Democrats in the House have threatened to withhold their votes from the infrastructure bill until the House and Senate also pass the Build Back Better bill, which contains major Democratic priorities on paid leave and child care.
In response to a question about the progressive threat, Pelosi implied there does need to be an agreement on legislative language for the budget bill in order for the infrastructure vote to occur. I think that we come to a place where we have agreement in legislative language ― not just principal ― in legislative language that the president supports, Pelosi said Wednesday.
Centrist Democrats have insisted the House pass the infrastructure bill this week, and a vote has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday. Party leaders have said they would pass the infrastructure bill in tandem with the budget, but in the past week Pelosis commitment seemed to waver, and progressives have insisted they would tank the infrastructure bill if the vote happened.
Asked Wednesday if she was specifically saying there had to be an agreement on budget bill text before the infrastructure vote, Pelosi said she wanted the two things done simultaneously.

Good Lord.
It's well past time for people like Manchin and Sinema to stop obstructing President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda.
Manchin Says He Made 'No Commitments' To Biden On Reconciliation Package
If you were hoping to gain more insight into what Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is thinking on the topline of the reconciliation bill, we have bad news for you: hes still tight-lipped even after meeting with President Biden at the White House alongside fellow centrist Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).
Manchin simply continued to leave reporters hanging by telling them that no commitments were made to Biden on the topline of the reconciliation package.
Reminder: The President told Manchin last week to put up or shut up. Democrats have yet to see a list of his demands including for a lower top line as centrists put up a fight over the $3.5 trillion price tag.

I have never seen a sitting Senator do so much to derail the agenda of a President from his own party as this.
President Biden leaning hard on Manchin and Sinema at this very moment!

Manchin Is Also At The White House
Its not just Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) back at the White House fellow centrist Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is there too, White House press secretary Jen Psaki and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters in separate press conferences.

Sinema Is Heading Back To The White House
After meeting with President Biden earlier today, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is reportedly boomeranging back to the White House, according to Politico and Fox News.
Sinema has not provided any details thus far on her conversations with the President amid her gripes about the $3.5 trillion price tag for reconciliation.

Give them hell, Joe!
Nancy Pelosi Says Vote May Be Delayed On $1 Trillion Infrastructure Bill
Source: Yahoo News
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday said she may not bring the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill to the House floor on Monday as previously planned, saying she'd rather wait to ensure it has all of the votes needed after fellow Democrats continued to tie demands to its passage.
"I'll never bring a bill to the floor that doesn't have the votes," she told ABC News "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos. "You cannot choose the date, you have to go when you have the votes, in a reasonable time, and we will."
Pelosi said Friday that she planned to bring the bill up for a vote on Monday. Although the speaker may push back the vote, she said Sunday that she still plans for it to happen sometime this week.

That would make sense if the votes are not there. The Monday vote was always just an artificial deadline in any case.
That said, I am sure that the infrastructure bill and the reconciliation bill will both pass once there is agreement among Democrats in Congress about the composition of the reconciliation bill.
It's time for people to stop obstructing President Biden's agenda.
The President's agenda is being blocked by a "moderate" Democrat "defending" Big Pharma
https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2021/09/26/biden-democrats-infrastructure-reconciliation/
Allowing Medicare to negotiate prices with Big Pharma costs the taxpayers NOTHING, yet it's one of the big stumbling blocks in enacting President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda.
How, as Democrats, can we allow our party's agenda to be derailed by a handful of people like Rep. Scott Peters?
House Budget Committee votes to pass the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill
Source: CNN
The House Budget Committee voted Saturday to pass the $3.5 trillion spending bill out of committee and send it to the House floor.
The vote was 20 to 17 with Democratic Rep. Scott Peters of California joining Republicans to vote against the bill. It came as a necessary step for the bill to reach the full House floor, where it can be amended.
Democrats have been struggling to pass President Joe Biden's economic agenda, including the massive tax and spending bill that would expand education, health care and childcare support, address the climate crisis and make further investments in infrastructure.
The bill has raised concerns among moderates who worry some of the measures, including on drug pricing and climate, go too far, as progressives say they've already compromised enough. Republicans are united in their opposition to it.
During its Saturday meeting, the House Budget committee could not change what other committees have already voted to approve.

"Democratic Rep Scott Peters joining Republicans to vote against the bill"
It's time to stop obstructing President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda.
Democrats should not be cutting, watering down or resisting Biden's agenda
President Biden has proposed a 3.5T "Build Back Better" agenda after consultation with all wings of the Democratic party.
Since President Biden, and VP Harris of course, is the Democrat with a national mandate, why is ANY Democrat in congress publicly disagreeing with his agenda at this point in time?
The media is already harping on the "Democrats in Disarray" meme, why is any elected Democratic feeding into it?
As a progressive, I am truly baffled. Progressives and moderates have ALREADY both compromised on which programs to push for.
Why are some Democrats still insisting on more cuts that would weaken the remaining vital programs?
Why are other Democrats willing to concede that?
I am truly baffled.
How do "bipartisan" bills help us Democrats more than the rThugs?
If we only pass watered down bills that the Republicans are on board on, how does that help us in the midterms?
If we Democrats argue amongst ourselves that President Biden's 3.5T "Build Back Better" agenda is too expensive, as some Democrats are, isn't that writing the attack adds for the Republicans come the midterms?
Doesn't the danger really lie in doing too little to help people in the bottom half the American economy?
