Reports that some tickets for Bruce Springsteen’s concerts are going for more than $4,000 apiece spurred one of the ticket industry’s fiercest critics on Capitol Hill to call out Ticketmaster for taking “an opportunity to soak regular Americans.”

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., author of legislation named for Springsteen that required the Federal Trade Commission to set rules governing ticket sellers and those in the secondary market, said the federal government should separate Live Nation, which arranges the concerts, from Ticketmaster, which sells the tickets for them.
