Question About Trump's Monitor

Will the monitor prevent a foreign country from paying his judgments?

People (Not Here) Need To Stop Calling Comer Incompetent

Comer needs to be investigated, Comer needs to be removed from the Oversight committee.

Comer needs to be asked how long he was promoting the Burisma lie? When did Comer know that his star witness was a phony liar?

And another thing, what about his shell company? Hunter was exonerated but not Comer.

When Will The J6 Trial Have To Start

Yeah, I know, I have been told that Garland can't shut down the trial because he can't interfere with Jack Smith, but is that true?

I have been right about Garland since he became Attorney General, so until I am wrong I will continue. I say the trial has to start by early June figuring it could last 3 months. That DOJ memo about election interference is not specific about how many days prior to an election. Is it 60 days or 90 days?

This from Lawfare from Chuck Rosenberg

If you are a federal prosecutor, you know not to interfere in an election. You know it because it is (and should be) the ethos of your office, or because someone explained the policy to you when you were new, or because you read the quadrennial memo issued by the attorney general. Regardless of how you first learned it, you understand what the policy says and what it means, and you obey it.

Yet the Justice Department’s election policy is more ambiguous and thus potentially more subject to abuse than we might think. This is particularly concerning in light of Attorney General William Barr’s hints that the department may, in advance of the 2020 election, release material from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the FBI investigation into the links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The policy has remained remarkably similar across administrations. Whether prosecutors read the memo issued in 2008 by Attorney General Michael Mukasey, or 2012 by Attorney General Eric Holder, or 2016 by Attorney General Loretta Lynch, they read virtually similar guidance. All three memos were issued early (March or April) in the election year, bore the same title (“Election Year Sensitivities”) and contained the same two sections in the same order: one that addressed the “Investigation and Prosecution of Election Crimes” and one that addressed the Hatch Act, a federal law prohibiting executive branch employees from engaging in partisan political activity under certain circumstances.
Those three memoranda all state that Justice Department employees “may never select the timing of investigative steps or criminal charges for the purpose of affecting any election, or for the purpose of giving an advantage or disadvantage to any candidate or political party.” They also encourage prosecutors to contact the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division for further guidance regarding “the timing of charges or overt investigative steps near the time of a primary or general election.”

When Will Garland Appoint A Special Counsel To Investigate James Comer

Comer is the chair of the House Oversight committee. Comer is leading the effort to impeach President Biden over the Burisma/Hunter Biden scandal.

When did Comer know that his star FBI informant was lying to the FBI? No fucking way that Comer just found that out when his star witness was just arrested for lying to the FBI. How long did Comer keep it secret that the Burisma scandal was a made up lie to bring down President Biden?

Comer needs to also be removed as chair to the Oversight committee, now.

While Garland is at it, his special counsel can investigate Comer's shell company.

C'mon Merrick, you are o fer 2 in special counsels investigating Democrats, how about starting to investigate the political party that is committing the crimes? C'mon man, do a special counsel, seeing as you must remain non-partisan. I won't hold my breath

As an added comment:

A Senate committee investigated Burisma/Biden and found no wrongdoing - but Comer continued.
Rudy Ghouliani's pal Lev Parnev told everyone that Hunter Biden /Biden committed no crime - but Comer continued.

Garland, a special counsel is warranted, hurry, before it interferes with an upcoming election.

Will this news be the front page of the New York Times today?

Garland Appointed 3 Special Counsels

2 of the Special counsels investigated criminal activity from Hunter and Joe Biden. Neither investigation found a crime.

1 special counsel investigated Donald Trump and found so much crime he had to split it up in parts.

Just sayin, I know the rules, I keep being told special counsels were warranted to avoid a conflict of interest. What about the other part of the rule, to investigate criminal activity?

How Soon Must The J6 Trial Start Before Garland Shuts It Down

I say by June, allowing 3 months for a trial. Can't be partisan. Trump is claiming election interference now.

Burisma Scandal Was All A Lie

The FBI informant who is at the center of the non-scandal has been arrested for lying to the FBI.
But we should have known this, Rudy’s pal Lev Parnev told us it was a lie.
Giving Garland credit, he appointed one Biden special counsel who wasn’t crooked.
Can’t wait to see special counsel Weiss’ report if Garland allows it to be released.

The Supreme Court Is On The Clock

I think I just heard that Trump lawyers have responded to Jack Smith’s immunity brief.

I never expected such a quick response, what’s up?

Will We Ever Get Trump To Trial

OK I didn't know that now Trump gets to respond to Jack Smith's Supreme Court brief to expedite Trump's immunity claim.
So how long does Trump get to respond? What will the Supreme Court do when Trump blows past that date?

Then once Trump does respond, how long before the SC decides about the stay, that is the real issue, not immunity?

I heard someone say last night that the Supreme Court has tailored down its schedule, that maybe it is preparing to hear the Trump appeal, Jack Smith brief?

I have seen time lines posted here to get the trial going but all I have to say is it is going to take way more than a week or two to select a jury.

By the bye, Jacks Smith's latest brief to the SC, allow me to summarize it - TIME MATTERS.

Will We Ever Get Trump To Trial

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph - Trump gets to respond to Jack Smith's brief. How long will the Supreme Court give Trump to reply?

How long after that will the Supreme Court reply?

If this trial doesn't start sometimes in June will Merrick Garland shut it down? Can't be partisan. It can take 2 months to just pick a jury.

On a brighter note, I hear that the Supreme Court has cleared its docket, pretty much cleared, maybe it will expedite this decision?
