I mean the damage he has done to our country in 4 years, that we are aware of, is astounding.
He is a Putin puppet, he most likely sold out our nation's top secrets, he most likely is still selling them.
He has damaged our institutions by putting his cronies into positions of power.
He has convinced 30% of Americans to be anti-democracy, to be anti-establishment, to be anti-government.
He has taken control of the Republican party and morphed it into his image.
He brought Naziism, bigotry, misogyny, anti-Semitism, anti -LBTGQ, racism, out of the shadows and into the mainstream.
Our democratic form of government hangs by a thread today because of this evil man.
Donald Trump is #1, the worst president ever, and that's just what we know about him.
Trump's Plan Was Working Against Merrick Garland
Merrick Garland claims to be an institutionalist, and institutionalist will not prosecute someone if it damages the institution, an institutionalist will honor tried and true principles, like attorney/client privilege.
Knowing this, Trump had cabinet members, like Mark Meadows commit crimes for him. Remember how DOJ did nothing when the J6 committee sent it the Meadow's criminal referral?
Trump used sitting members of Congress to commit crimes for him, such as Scott Perry who is up to his neck in the fake elector scheme. The FBI took Perry's phone last August but has so far not been allowed to access its contents. We have Senators Cruz, Hawley, Tuberville, House members MTG, Boebert, Gaetz, Biggs, many many more.
Trump's best idea was to use attorneys to commit his crimes, beginning with Ghouliani, Eastman, and a dozen more, and then claim attorney/client privilege and run any challenges up to the fascist Supreme Court.
Jack Smith is not a radical institutionalist, of course he believes in our institutions. Jack Smith went after cabinet member Mark Meadows.
Sitting Congressmen appear to be untouchable.
Jack Smith went after all of the criminal attorneys, busting the attorney/client privilege by not waiting for his crime/fraud exceptions to be delayed and run up to the fascist SC, no, Jack Smith went to a judge with the crime/fraud evidence and got a District judge to throw out that privilege and force the criminal attorneys to testify.
Would Donald Trump have ever been indicted by DOJ without Jack Smith? I'm not so sure he would have.
Trump fears Jack Smith, he is bashing him and his family, for a reason, Jack Smith is going to bring Donald Trump to justice.
If Merrick Garland had done the same a year and a half ago Trump would have faced trial/trials before the election, now it will be close. The pyramid strategy was a bust.

Zoe Lofgren of the J6 committee said on Nicolle that the committee was surprised that DOJ did not investigate Trump and his inner circle earlier. She said she hopes it isn't too late to hold Trump accountable.

Jack Smith Knows The Importance Of The Narrative
Trump and his cronies and right wing media have been lacing the Trump trial jury pool with poison. Trump isn't trying to convince people he is innocent with evidence because he can't, he can only hope for a hung jury.
I have no idea how Trump's audio recording from Bedminster made it to CNN, but it put the clinkers to what Trump has been doing and it must have upset him so much that last night he lashed out, in all caps, at Jack Smith.
How dare Smith, or whoever released the audio, put actual evidence of Trump committing a crime and doing it with Trump's own words.

Also, it sent a message to judge Cannon.

I Hate To Give A Plug To Chris Christie, But
I saw a headline on my home page where Christie was on Fox & Friends and basically calling Trump a coward for backing out of the debates.
I know the saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Christie will never be my friend but I honestly believe that he is doing some harm to Donald Trump, and even to DeathSantis.
Now, no way the die hard Trump cult will desert him, but people who have not been bitten 3 times yet by this vampire, may think twice about voting for him.
I actually enjoy listening to Christie bashing coward Donnie. It will have an effect on a Narcissist.
I Made A Mistake Yesterday, I Apologized
My mistake was apologizing for saying that with Aileen Cannon in charge, a Trump trial will never happen before the election. I mistakenly based my apology on Cannon's document that set the trial date for August 14th, that document and date are meaningless.
In the short time that Cannon has been a judge she has a practice of setting trial dates and then extending them.
We will get a better idea when the hearing for pre-trial motions happens shortly.
That document that Cannon produced with the trial date is no indication that she learned a lesson from being castigated by the Appeals Court.
Trials like this usually take a year or more to happen, regardless of the rocket docket.
My apology is withdrawn, time matters, and I believe once again that with Aileen Cannon presiding, a Trump trial will not happen before the election.
Disclaimer/ unless Trump wants a trial to happen quickly.
