Will banks call in Trump's loans?

Now that the Trump org has been indicted, banks can 'call in' loans with the Trump organization.
The banks, many European, often have clauses to protect the loans, if the borrower is indicted. Reports are saying, Deustche Bank, one of the biggest, does not have that clause...but nothing has been made available, to validate that exemption. I suspect we'll see important points, over the Independance Day weekend.

I, myself, think this 'call in' option will result in some very interesting media reports, especially from Euro news agencies.

This quote, from a politico.com article, sums it up well.

"...Murad Hussain, a partner in Arnold & Porter’s white-collar defense practice. “Beyond the adverse publicity, an indictment might trigger a lender’s rights to call outstanding loans, or give a government agency grounds to suspend a business license or the ability to participate in public programs. This isn’t always guaranteed to happen, but if it does, it’s an uphill battle to undo the damage.”

One of the biggest risks involves the company’s debt — and the Trump Organization’s debts are reportedly immense. A Forbes investigation published in October 2020 calculated that Trump owes his creditors at least $1 billion. A spokesperson for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

Netanyahu was another bad prime minister

He did very little to advance peace, with the Palestinians, or for the Middle eastern region.

Let's hope his end is the beginning of a new progressive series of national leaders and policies for that region.
Policy that can help children learn more, prevent colonizations and most importantly provide for a fair and equitable economic system that punishes nationalistic policies. Terrorists do not lead nations, they are an excuse for nationalists to defend a bad policy.
Nationalists are terrorists more often, as we've seen in America's Jan 6 treasonous attack on the Capitol.

I never liked nationalists and today's current 'conservatives' are showing how bad that ideology really is.

Humans are better than the Netanyahu(s) many fear riddled and poorly educated devotees that are around the globe.

Let Netanyahu be the domino effect and we see many of them fall to the dustbin of history.

DOJ needs definitions of racial terms

Anyone can call anything by a name. Just pick any word for any meaning and yes, the court's will say that is free speech.
Buy when DOJ needs to file hate crimes; certain words need very specific definitions for the court to understand.

Let's define the words, set them into legal precedent and let the future use our interpretation of history.

"...while black, asian, native, hispanic' should never be part of any legal definition of an action.

"Three dead after police conduct 'cultural diversity' survey' in High Crime Neighborhoods"
is a headline I am not looking forward to anytime soon, or late.

Wisc Lawmakers want to end partisan primaries

I reposted the source link from the General Discussion board.

This is ranked choice voting, which works well in neighboring Minnesota and every other state that has embraced this smart election policy. Ranked choice ends the old method of limiting the candidates, after the primary, to the top two vote getters.
Ranked choice leaves the top 5 vote getters and the general election allows voters a far broader choice of candidates.
Wisc does not have party affiliation registrations, meaning everyone is an indie voter. This proposal would require a winner to get 50%+1 to win a primary outright, otherwise there would be a runoff of the top two, prior to the general election.

Ranked choice voting is something the Wisc GOP is firmly against. This won't get any legislative time, as the GOP has to draw the new district boundaries once the Census data is released. They certainly don't want to loose any power over taking power from voters.
The WISCgop's are already plotting more gerrymandering by hiring a law firm to defend the mess they will create. Wisc law states that they cannot hire any lawyers until the bill is actually written, like they did in 2011. Why change now?

CPAC: Teen Level Communications

The 2021 CPAC was a teenager level communication project.
What the hell was that all about?

A golden icon in the hallway...
No real speeches of importance...
Repeats of past rantings...

As the most important convention of conservative political thought, this was a disaster.

So what did we learn?
The GOP has no plan and had given no indication of a plan forward.

OK. 'If that;s what they want, then I won't support then.
The nation deserves a plan, something to move forward with.
No plan. No votes.

the dems have plans, so they get my vote
