Mom Calls C-SPAN to Yell At Her Arguing Pundit Sons
https://jezebel.com/mom-calls-c-span-to-yell-at-her-arguing-pundit-sons-1671747153Oh my Lord, shut it down, here is the greatest moment in the history of C-SPAN: A (very Southern) mama called into one of their shows to yell at the guests. Not because she disagrees, but because the guests are brothers and both her sons and she is sick and tired of their shit.
"Oh God, it's Mom." (C-SPAN)

House Judiciary Republicans Tried To Protect Nixon Too, And Got Crushed For It
Yet todays House Republicans are not likely to break with Trump in impeachment votes.
....
Nearly a half-century ago, their counterparts who protected then-President Richard Nixon suffered a hefty price for it just months later in the 1974 midterm elections: Five of the 10 members who voted against all three articles of impeachment saw their seats flip to Democrats. Four were defeated outright. The fifth retired, and the Republican hoping to succeed him lost.
They were saying all summer long that there wasnt enough evidence to say that Nixon knew about the cover-up, said former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, who was a lawyer on the Judiciary Committee impeachment staff in 1974 and is now running against President Donald Trump for the 2020 GOP nomination. As soon as the tapes came out, they looked like idiots.
....
Cult members cant see past the Kool-Aid, said John Weaver, a former aide to late Arizona Sen. John McCain.

'You have absolutely zero power' -- I was a McKinsey consultant like Pete Buttigieg
Heres what this debate is missing, and why the coverage is so off-beam.
Buttigieg was not a McKinsey director, partner or manager. Like me, he was just an associate.
Young consultants who join McKinsey straight out of graduate school are much like young lawyers who join a top law firm straight out of law school.
You have absolutely zero power and very little influence. You are mainly there as billable hours.
You are allocated to work for individual partners on individual projects.
You dont choose the clients, the partners or the projects.

Buttigieg Says He 'Was Slow To Realize' South Bend Schools Were Segregated
I have to confess that I was slow to realize ― I worked for years under the illusion that our schools in my city were integrated because they had to be because of a court order,
...
Buttigiegs remarks come as he struggles to gain Black supporters. His campaign has resonated far more with white supporters in the early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire.

Found Frozen and Almost Perfectly Preserved in Permafrost, this 18,000-Year-Old Puppy Could Be a Huge Deal
The DNA of an exquisitely preserved puppy found in Siberia doesnt appear to fit the profile of a dog or a wolf, which means the specimen might be something in between.
The frozen puppy, found near Yakutsk in eastern Siberia, was just two months old when it died, reports CNN. Scientists from the Centre for Palaeogeneticsa joint project between Stockholm University and the Swedish Museum of Natural Historyused radiocarbon dating on its rib bone to place its brief time on Earth to 18,000 years ago, during the tail end of the last Ice Age.
The level of preservation is unreal, with the puppy still exhibiting intact teeth, nose, and fur. Scientists were able to extract DNA from the specimen, allowing them to confirm the pups sex as male. It has since been named Dogor, which means friend in Yakutian.
