These people get it. There are plenty of pastors and churches out there exactly like this and I am glad to see them stand up and do something. A sit in at Senator Manchin's office, what a great idea! They need to move on down the line to Senator Sinema's office later on.

There are people in the media who get the facts and tell the truth and Chris Hayes is one of those people. He's got a great hour of commentary every evening, which I try as hard as I can not to miss and which I record if I do miss. This particular piece was 20 minutes of award-winning journalism. I would love to see NBC news do an hour-long prime time weeknight special, expanding on everything Hayes has put together here, and let him and Rachel Maddow host it.

The Congressional investigation hasn't even laid their hands on Trump's papers in the national archives, though I think that's going to happen pretty soon. This needs to head to the courts via the DOJ. And it needs to be on a fast track.

Several news media outlets have this whole string of phone calls, intimidation and threats, and evidence that Trump tried every possible way to break the system and remain in office.

Why is he not being held awaiting trial, like any other American would be for doing the same things?

If this got posted somewhere else here, I didn't see it. I got the link to the Post editorial from one of the MSNBC programs the other night, I think Rachel Maddow. I'm surprised this isn't generating more outrage and attention, or maybe it is and I missed it.

"Constitutional Ignorance" and Religious Bigotry Don't Mix, Congresswoman Boebert

Members of Congress should be expected to know at least as much as any American eighth grader does about the constitution. But Congresswoman Boebert's deplorable comments criticizing the religious beliefs of Muslims in Congress, particularly Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, demonstrate ignorance about the first amendment and about her role as a member of Congress.

More than having her committee assignments removed, rendering her even more inept and ineffective than she has been up to this point, her tirade is a demonstration of her contempt for the office she holds and the Constitution which governs it. She should resign and go back home.

Five Democrats who should be up front and leading the 2022 midterm victory effort

We have some great, articulate, intelligent, highly educated, real, down-to-earth, men and women of the people in this party. Some of them are particularly good at explaining things, motivating voters and smacking down false impressions and lies.

I think the DNC needs to get involved in putting a series of rallies together across the country. Not because that's what Trump does, but I've been at some of those events and I see what effect it has locally. No one does it like Bernie Sanders. I've been to a couple of his, including one in a small town in West Virginia where he packed a high school football stadium bleachers and field and had them roaring by the time he was through. He got more votes in the primary in that county than Trump did in the general election.

But there are some in Congress, both houses, that really seem to have a knack for motivating people in a three minute news broadcast sound-byte. And they need people who can talk to people, not just politicians with a lot of high sounding rhetoric.

It's been an interesting week so far, with Ted Cruz getting humiliated by Dr Fauci, and Eric Swalwell taking a swing at the unvaccinated.

There's a greater good to consider here when it comes to "my rights." If you are not vaccinated, you put others, including me, at risk while if you are vaccinated, you can contribute to ending the pandemic nightmare.
