Why isn't Trump being charged criminally?

Is there anybody here who thinks they wouldn't be arrested and in jail without bond on a charge of inciting an insurrection? Every speaker at that Trump rally prior to the Trump insurrection at the Capitol should be held without bond and be criminally charged.

It's already out there. So will there be preparation this time? How is that going to be handled? That's why Trump has to be removed from office this week, as quickly as it can get done. They are planning to attack the inauguration and there are a lot of deep consequences that could be developing. Who's in charge?

I believe this Trump temper tantrum will result in a massive unseating of Republicans in both houses in 2022, and a dismantling of the party into Trump deplorables, regular Republicans and those who are peeling off into the Lincoln Project independents. The Trumpies won't support the rest of the party because they refused to bow down and become part of the kool-aide drinking cult of loyalty.

Democrats need to be smart, pull away from the extremes, or at least, from appearing to major in them, bide their time, get their agenda accomplished or, if they don't get control of the senate tomorrow (I think they will) make sure the obstructionist label sticks to McConnell and gang.

At the very least, it was clearly sedition, but it was an attempt to subvert constitutional law and overturn a legitimate election which, under the Constitution, was conducted legally and certified by the state of Georgia. Trump should be arrested on January 20 and charged. If someone in Washington actually had the nerve, the arrest should happen now. Secret service or FBI.
