The United States on Friday once again saw a record number of Covid-19 cases, when more than 97,000 infections were reported, according to an NBC News tally.
It's the fifth time since Oct. 22 that a new daily case record was set.
The U.S. reported 969 deaths Friday, according to an NBC News count.
The last benchmark of 90,456 cases was hit Thursday, just hours after the U.S. logged its 9 millionth coronavirus case and shattered the previous daily record of 80,662 infections, set a day earlier.

Javanka jab: Lincoln Project trolls Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump on their home turf

The Lincoln Project, that group of never-Trump former Republican political consultants who have turned their skills on the President, is bringing their latest project to two of Donald Trump‘s home bases.
Billboards blasting Ivanka Trump and her spouse, Jared Kushner, are outside Mar-A-Lago and Trump Tower all weekend.
These billboards are already famous: the Lincoln Project had them in Times Square in NYC, featuring a quote from Kushner where he allegedly said “people are going to suffer and that’s their problem, about New Yorkers dealing with COVID-19.

The Mar-A-Lago installation is on a boat, outside the Trump South Florida compound through Sunday afternoon before sailing back to Miami. The so-called “Javanka” artwork from there will be on boats in the Miami area through the election.
The Mar-A-Lago boat will be out 24/7 for most of the weekend, but the Trump Tower installation will have shifts for the next four days. A digital truck was outside the building on Friday.

That was followed by a tribute to all the Fox News programs Trump enjoys, then an extended riff on Miles Taylor, the former administration official who recently revealed that he is “Anonymous,” the author of an insider tell-all on the administration. This is what he thinks will win him more votes.
Trump is certain that anyone who questions his flawless political instincts must be an idiot. But is there a sane Republican anywhere who actually believes that focusing on Hunter Biden is what will turn late-deciding independents toward Trump or motivate otherwise-indifferent Republicans to get to the polls?
