young people today are more knowledgeable than founding fathers

*young people today don't believe slavery of humans is a morally defensible institution

*young people today know more about how human activities have an enormous impact on our planet

*young people today know that slaughtering indigenous people in order to advance white colonialism is wrong

Don't hold our founding fathers on too lofty of a perch. What they did regarding promotion of Democratic self rule and rejection of monarchy was ground breaking--but it birthed a very imperfect nation.

we have a right and an obligation to see those times and those people from a more enlightened perspective.

it is important we recognize those people knew so much less than we do today. It is similar to digging up artifacts from early humans. we know they were less intelligent and extremely primitive. we make allowances for that, but we see them with the clarity of scientific objectivity.

we must listen to the voices chanting for accountability. demanding a reckoning. don't use tradition as a cudgel. examine our nation and the people who led it. focus on how you can better our lives and our institutions.

that is a sign off true patriotism.

we as a country are not learning lessons from 2016 election meddling by Russia

Trump is not a smart person, but the people leading Russian GRU are.

If you feel the temperature is starting to rise across this country even more and that even petty disputes between people are being vaulted into our consciousness and sowing division, it is mot your imagination.

it may mot primarily be Cambridge Analytica or Facebook helping deliver these messages, but the Russians benefit in creating these targeted splits of Americans.

Senate Republicans must go in 2020--not just Trump

I am so happy the polls and approval ratings are trending dramatically downward for Trump, but we need to remind all thise angry and disaffected independents and suburbanites that GOP could have stopped Trump long ago.

last night I watched documentaries on Thurgood Marshall and Emmit Till

as well as the NAACP attempt to stop theater release of Birth of a Nation.

God, we are a country built on racism and white entitlement. So glad Amazon highlighted a bunch of these movies on Prime for Juneteenth and within context of BLM protests.

why aren't DEMS refusing to confirm ANY new appointments

use the old "it's last year if Trump's term" argument that motherfucker McConnell used and just absolutely lock down all appointments from now to Jan 2021!

How is Richard Epstein still able to publish articles that aren't laughed into oblivion?

Below is a very interesting look back at the entire saga of NYU/Hoover Instituteís Richard Epstein weighing in on COVID19.

What is worse than his original horrendous writing is the fact that he and/or others at Hoover have tried diligently to hide just how pathetically bad his own original model was.

I also include for your reading pleasure the brilliant takedown of Richard Epstein by New Yorker reporter Isaac Chotiner

As well as the now HIGHLY edited Hoover article by Epstein

Has anyone on Twitter notices the recent rise in fake news the left is amplifying?

It is unnerving for me. Dems and others opposed to Trump have been very fact-based in their opposition. But last day or so public people I follow are starting to post garbage rumors like Trump is suddenly moving USN Comfort from NYC to Louisiana.

I sure hope we arenít going to see more of 2016 with Russian trolls trying to spew misinformation.

Anybody have any good lines on Project Rasputin and Michael Caputo?

Would be curious to know what that was all about and if it is still operational.

Caputo is long time buds with Roger Stone and Caputo has also spent years in Russia helping Kremlin.

Ow that Caputo is being installed as Comms chief for Health and Human Services, the hairs on the back of my neck are tingling

China is undercounting, Florida is undercounting, many deaths aren't being reported as COVID19

In Spain, Italy, US and one would assume other countries where the pandemic has taken hold like Iran, France, etc the spike in deaths above average/typical deaths per week but which are not classified as COVID19 are likely CoVID.

With all of the noise due to lack of testing, spikes in the very ill and lack of hospital capacity plus sheer evil of governments trying to hide the true reach of this...it could be many years before the world gets a statistically valid and scientifically grounded estimate on just how many die in the COVID19 pandemic.

Ok. I am going to be a jerk here and present you a false choice

If you had to choose from these 2 options and had guarantees these 2 options would occur depending on 2020 election:

A)Trump wins second term but serves a life sentence in prison

B)Trump loses in 2020 but serves no time in prison

Which would you prefer?
