So is the Hatch Act officially dead?

We have a lawless administration with a lawless attorney general.

My question, what should Pelosi and President Biden pass into law next year to tighten up our corruption laws so we can never have another Donald Trump?

Let's face it, a lot of our democracy is built on tradition and norms. Our country wasn't designed for a lawless president with a party that was just as culpable. I think there needs to be laws stating a president can be indicted. There needs to be an independent counsel statute again that doesn't depend on the AG like Mueller did. They need rein in pardon powers as well. They need to do something to prevent a future president being worse than Trump.

Amy McGrath has decided China is the most important issue in 2020

I live in Kentucky. Is this happening in other states fellow DU'ers? McGrath, for some reason, has forsaken health care, USPS, and Corona to spend all her ads attacking Mitch on China. Is this something that will really drive people to the polls? I don't get it. Are you guys seeing ads targeting health care, the economy, and other more important issues in your areas? I just don't understand why she's made China the #1 issue in the race.

Should Joe Biden insist on USPS funding before debating Trump?

I was thinking that maybe Joe should say he would refuse to debate Trump if he refuses to fund the post office. He could say that Trump is actively subverting the election and he won't give him the time of day to legitimize him with a debate. What do you think?

Wow, Chuck Todd actually made a good point about Biden!

Somehow Todd put together a few brain cells and made a good point that I hadn't really thought about...that Joe Biden did the Democratic Party a favor with this VP process by elevating all those women in the national psyche, especially women of color. Candidates like Bass, Demings, Whitmer all have been strengthened by the process. After this process, you can see a possible Demings running for Senate or Governor in Florida, etc.

KY-SEN: Mitch trouncing Amy McGrath 53%-36%

As a Kentuckian, I knew Amy McGrath didn't have a prayer of beating Mitch. I voted for Booker in the primary cause at least he would go down swinging. McGrath is running a terrible campaign here. I'm not bashing her as I think she is a fine person, but her campaign manager needs to kick rocks. And her ads are really bad...like really bad. I'm talking cringeworthy. Mitch is killing her and she is not hitting him back hard at all.
