Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) slammed President Donald Trump for using his 4th of July to go after his political enemies instead of doing more to address America’s most pressing concerns.

As Bash asked Duckworth to elaborate her stance over the statue debate, the senator called for “a national dialogue” on the matter, but she also described the topic as a distraction from more important issues. Duckworth explained that Trump “spent more time worried about honoring dead Confederates” when that time could’ve been used to honor those who’ve died from the coronavirus, or address the allegations that Russia is putting bounties on America’s servicemen.

“His priorities are all wrong here,” Duckworth said. “He should be talking about what we’re going to do to overcome the pandemic and what are we going to do to push Russia back. Instead, he had no time for that. He spent all the time talking about dead traitors.”

Anyone else getting the sense that Trump WANTS to infect as many Americans as possible?

Even his own supporters. He doesn't care.

He's slowly starting to realize that he's gonna lose reelection and has shifted to a scorched Earth policy of burning everything down to the ground. A normal President would be pouring their heart and soul into fighting the virus as it would actually help them look like a real leader and win reelection.

Instead Trump appears to be intentionally trying to infect as many Americans as possible by organizing events where thousands of people could be infected.

He's essentially organizing super spreader events at a time when the US is seeing a record number of cases.

Border Wall Built by Trump's Hand-Picked Contractor Is 'in Danger of Falling into the Rio Grande'

A little-known North Dakota construction firm that was awarded the single largest border wall contract after its CEO effusively praised the president in a slew of conservative media appearances is now defending its product as experts warn the structure is in danger of collapsing, ProPublica and the Texas Tribune reported Thursday.

Several experts interviewed for the report said poor planning and shoddy engineering have left the wall “in danger of falling into the Rio Grande.”

The company, Fisher Sand & Gravel (FSG), in May was won a record-high $1.3 billion government contract to erect a portion of President Donald Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall, despite FSG’s prototype being rejected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for lacking in both “quality” and “sophistication.”

As previously reported by Law&Crime, President Trump directly inserted himself into the process for evaluating and awarding government construction contracts, lobbying on behalf of FSG and the firm’s CEO Tommy Fisher. Fisher, who has made a number of Fox News guest appearances, reportedly sold Trump on his company by playing to his impatience with the lack of progress on his signature campaign promise, telling the president he could build the wall faster and cheaper than other contractors bidding on the project. Fisher has since described his design as the “Lamborghini” of walls.

President Donald Trump’s campaign is promoting a new shirt that features an eagle clutching a shield with the American flag and ribbon displaying his campaign. The Nazi Reichsadler is an eagle clutching a shield with a swastika.

While eagles have been used since the Roman Empire to signify power, the only eagles clutching a shield in their feet appear on Nazi memorabilia and Trump’s campaign shirt.

It’s a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by those on Twitter, Wednesday. Specifically, the Republican-run Lincoln Project posted the images together, saying, “Come on.”

Donald Trump has repeated a claim that the coronavirus is going to “just disappear”, a day after the United States announced a record number of new cases.

“I think we’re gonna be very good with the coronavirus. I think that at some point that’s going to, sort of, just disappear — I hope,” Mr Trump told Fox Business on Wednesday.

The comments come as more than 48,000 coronavirus cases were announced across the country on Tuesday, the highest daily number since the pandemic began. Eight states reported single-day highs: Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

It is not the first time Mr Trump has made the claim that the virus will vanish on its own — one that has been contradicted by his own expert advisors. Speaking in February, when just over a dozen cases had been confirmed on US soil, Mr Trump said: "One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear."
