White woman shouts racial slurs and threatens to call police as family moves into new home

A white woman was caught on video using racial slurs to attack a family as they were moving into their new home. A video of the incident, which was said to have occurred in Michigan, was shared on Twitter over the weekend.

In the video, the white woman accuses her new neighbors of breaking the law by moving into their home after dark. “You’ve been screaming since what time?” the woman complains. “You just moved in.”

<...>

“You all are n****rs makings a scene!” the white woman exclaims.

<...>

“N****rs waking me up at 3:30!” the white woman says. “I’ve got a phone too. I’m using it to call the cops.”

The woman was identified on social media as Jessica Evans.

Florida Man Goes on Unhinged Rant Against Masks: 'I Will Not be Muzzled Like a Mad Dog!'

A Florida man has gone viral — much like his home state — by launching into a rant during a county commission meeting about mandating masks to fight the coronavirus, during which he exclaimed “I will not be muzzled like a mad dog!”

Earlier this week, CNN aired video of local Palm Beach residents flipping out over a mask mandate — calling them “the devil’s laws” — so at least one resident of St. Lucie County promptly had those people hold his beer.

What if Obama dismissed intelligence indicating Russian operatives paid bounties to kill Americans

...and then he invited Russian leaders to the United States for a geopolitical summit?

What would've been the Republican reaction?

Woman coughs on cancer patient during dispute with store employees

An incident in Florida was captured on video, showing an irate woman cough on a person filming her during a dispute in a Jacksonville shopping center, First Coast News reports.

Heather Sprague, who recorded the video and who was coughed on, is a cancer patient.

<...>

“I did not speak, react, or engage. Simply stood to document the behavior,” Sprague wrote. “When bullies are faced with accountability they must acknowledge the unacceptability of their actions. Within 30 seconds of filming her tirade was done and she left the poor staff in peace.”

As coronavirus cases surge in the United States, Mike Pence's solution is to pray

Pence on Whether Coronavirus Deaths Will Surge After Infections Spike: ‘Our Hope and Our Prayer’ is They Won’t

By Rudy Takala

Vice President Mike Pence said Friday it was “our hope and our prayer” that deaths related to coronavirus would not surge along with a rise in infections.

“Do you expect the death rate to go up in the next three or four weeks, like we are seeing the rate of infection go up now?” Pence was asked during a coronavirus task force briefing on Friday.

“Our hope and our prayer is that’s not the case,” the vice president replied.

The world is putting America in quarantine

By Ryan Cooper

The United States is in the midst of a full-blown second wave of coronavirus. According to Worldometers, Tuesday had 36,015 new cases — the highest number since May 1, and the third-highest ever. Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, California, and Texas are headed for a dire emergency fast. So far deaths have thankfully not returned to their previous highs, probably in part because the new surge appears to be hitting younger patients. But deaths are also a lagging indicator, and they are highly likely to start increasing soon.

Europe, where most countries have largely contained the virus (after initial screw-ups), is looking at America with slackjawed horror. The European Union is likely to close its borders to American travelers when it restores some international travel on July 1. Canada will most likely keep its U.S. border mostly closed when the current agreement expires on July 21.

Around the world, it is beginning to sink in how profoundly rotten the United States is. Unless America manages to turn things around, it will slide from the center of the international order to a peripheral, mistrusted basketcase, and it will deserve it.

It is plainly obvious why the U.S. is experiencing a second wave. The point of coronavirus lockdowns, as I and dozens of others explained months ago, was to buy time for the government to set up more fine-grained containment protocols that could contain the virus more effectively. With transmission reduced to a manageable rate and a test-trace-isolate system in place, countries can return to something like normal life, and an increasing number are doing so. It's a tricky business and renewed lockdowns may be necessary, as fresh outbreaks in China and elsewhere have shown, but it can be done.

San Francisco man fired after he's caught blocking Hispanic neighbor from building

They never learn.

Don't these people realize their racist behavior is being increasingly exposed because everyone has a camera phone in their pocket?

San Francisco man was blocked from entering his own apartment building by a white couple who called him a “criminal.”

Michael Barajas, a Berkeley graduate and community educator for a biopharmaceutical company, said he used his remote key fob to open the garage door to SOMA Residences after coming home Tuesday evening from buying fruit, but a white SUV pulling in ahead of him purposefully blocked the entrance to the garage, reported KGO-TV.

“His immediate reaction was, ‘Hey, you f*cking criminal, you’re not coming in here,'” Barajas said.

Barajas, who recorded the encounter, said he was wearing black and his tattoos were visible, and he thinks the other man, later identified as William Beasly, decided he posed a threat.

Trump Implies Covid Tests Are Inflating Numbers by Misdiagnosing 'Kids With the Sniffles'

President Donald Trump implied that Covid-19 positive tests are inflated because some of the 2.4 million cases the United States has diagnosed are just “kids with the sniffles,” he said in a taped Fox News town hall with Sean Hannity Thursday night.

<...>

“More importantly, we have more cases because we do the greatest testing,” Trump said, revisiting his recent refrain that the nation’s record-high coronavirus count is linked to increased testing where “we put ourselves at a disadvantage.”

“If we didn’t do testing, we would have no cases,” Trump falsely claimed. “Other countries don’t test millions, up to almost 30 million tests. When you do 30 million, you’re going to have a kid with the sniffles and they’ll say it’s coronavirus.”

Whatever happened to the massive caravans traveling to the southern US border?

Shouldn't they have arrived by now?

Right before the 2018 midterm elections, the media was going on incessantly about caravans from Latin America headed to the United States.

The goal was obviously to scare the white folk just prior to the election. Hoards of brown people are coming your way!

The media did the same thing in 2014 with the Ebola virus. Once the 2014 election was over, the media barely mentioned Ebola again.

The truth is that the "caravans" and Ebola were never actually a threat.

I wonder what the right wingers and their enablers in the media have up their sleeve for 2020.
