New Woodward audio reveals Trump focused on the stock market instead of COVID-19

What we already knew....

Listen: Trump Touts Stock Market Recovery Over Covid Reaction in Newly Released Woodward Audio

By Colby HallSep 14th, 2020, 1:36 pm

CNN’s Jamie Gangel is not just a well-respected reporter and longtime Beltway insider. She also appears to have a friendly working relationship with Bob Woodward, as she has been at the center of on-the-record audio recordings with President Donald Trump used for the new tell-all Rage. Newly obtained audio dropped at noon on Monday revealed the president remained focused on the stock market index even as the death toll from Covid-19 dramatically grew.

<...>

Gangel then introduced another portion of the recording in which Trump claims “nothing could have been done,” and “I acted early.”

Trump then asked Woodward, “So you think the virus totally supersedes the economy?” to which the author replied, “Oh sure. But they’re related, as you know.” Trump agreed with “a little bit,” which appeared to surprise Woodward.

“I mean, more than a little bit, but the economy is doing, look …we are close to a new stock market record.”

Whistleblower: The Trump Administration has been performing medical experiments on ICE detainees

‘Like an Experimental Concentration Camp’: Whistleblower Complaint Alleges Mass Hysterectomies at ICE Detention Center

JERRY LAMBE
Sep 14th, 2020, 12:58 pm

Several legal advocacy groups on Monday filed a whistleblower complaint on behalf of a nurse at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center documenting “jarring medical neglect” within the facility, including a refusal to test detainees for the novel coronavirus and an exorbitant rate of hysterectomies being performed on immigrant women.

The nurse, Dawn Wooten, was employed at the Irwin County Detention Center (ICDC) in Georgia, which is operated by LaSalle Corrections, a private prison company. The complaint was filed with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by advocacy groups Project South, Georgia Detention Watch, Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, and South Georgia Immigrant Support Network.

Multiple women came forward to tell Project South about what they perceived to be the inordinate rate at which women in ICDC were subjected to hysterectomies – a surgical operation in which all or part of the uterus is removed. Additionally, many of the immigrant women who underwent the procedure were reportedly “confused” when asked to explain why they had the surgery, with one detainee likening their treatment to prisoners in concentration camps.

<...>

“When I met all these women who had had surgeries, I thought this was like an experimental concentration camp. It was like they’re experimenting with our bodies,” the detainee said.

As useless as tits on a bull: Chuckie Todd compares Trump's coronavirus scandal to Hillary's emails

How many people died because of Hillary's emails?

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd Compares Trump Coronavirus, War Dead Scandals to Hillary Email Story

By Tommy Christopher

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd and The New York Times’ Peter Baker analogized scandals like President Donald Trump’s current coronavirus-related political difficulties and alleged comments about U.S. war dead to the intense coverage of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server four years ago.

Much of the media’s reaction to the blockbuster Bob Woodward recordings — which revealed that Trump knew in early February that the virus was much more deadly than the seasonal flu, yet continued to “downplay” the threat — has centered around gaming out the political effect of deceiving the American people about a pandemic that has killed over 190,000 of them.

It's gonna be sweet to see Biden inaugurated and then Trump Plaza imploded one week later.

In an early Sunday morning tweet, Donald Trump retweeted a post stating the Laurene Powell Jobs — widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs — donated at least $500,000 to Joe Biden’s campaign this year and urges his followers to contact her and express their displeasure.

According to the president, “Steve Jobs would not be happy that his wife is wasting money he left her on a failing Radical Left Magazine that is run by a con man (Goldberg) and spews FAKE NEWS & HATE. Call her, write her, let her know how you feel!!!”

Russia is 'amplifying' claims of mail-in voter fraud, intel bulletin warns

Source: ABC News

Russia has sought to “amplify” concerns over the integrity of U.S. elections by promoting allegations that mail-in voting will lead to widespread fraud, according to an intelligence bulletin obtained by ABC News, again echoing a frequent and unfounded complaint raised by President Donald Trump.

Analysts with the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence branch issued the warning on Thursday to federal and state law enforcement partners after finding with “high confidence” that “Russian malign influence actors” have targeted the absentee voting process “by spreading disinformation” since at least March.

“Russian state media and proxy websites in mid-August 2020 criticized the integrity of expanded and universal vote-by-mail, claiming ineligible voters could receive ballots due to out-of-date voter rolls, leaving a vast amount of ballots unaccounted for and vulnerable to tampering,” the bulletin notes.

“These websites also alleged that vote-by-mail processes would overburden the U.S. Postal Service and local boards of election,” it continues, “delaying vote tabulation and creating more opportunities for fraud and error.”

Prosecutors are looking into financial crimes committed in connection with Trump's inauguration

A former Melania Trump friend and adviser said she is working with multiple prosecutors on investigations into potential financial crimes committed in connection with President Trump’s inauguration. `

"I'm working with three different prosecutors, and it's taken over my life," Stephanie Winston Wolkoff told ABC News in an interview Monday, referring to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York and local attorneys general in New Jersey and Washington, D.C.

Winston Wolkoff said she considered Melania Trump a close friend for more than a decade. She served as a leading organizer for President Trump’s inauguration and later as an adviser to Melania Trump.

<...>

In her forthcoming book she writes she was made into “the cover girl for the inauguration shenanigans,” according to ABC News.

Trump wanted to gas, maim, and "pierce the flesh" of migrants

<...>

When it came to the border wall, Trump would dream up “sickening” medieval plots “to pierce the flesh” of migrants, rip all the families apart, “maim,” and gas them, Taylor claims. “This was a man with no humanity whatsoever,” Taylor says. “He says, we got to do this, this, this, and this, all of which are probably impossible, illegal unethical,” Taylor recalls, but he was writing them down as the president spoke. “And he looks over me and he goes, ‘you fucking taking notes?’”

Katie Porter Takes Just Seconds to Get Postmaster DeJoy to Admit He's Ignorant of Basic Facts

WATCH: Katie Porter Takes Just Seconds to Get Postmaster DeJoy to Admit He’s Ignorant of Basic Facts About Postal Service

By Reed Richardson

Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) repeatedly stumped Postmaster General Louis DeJoy with basic questions about the U.S. Postal Service and burrowed in on his potential conflict of interests during a brutal House hearing on Monday.

<...>

During the Congresswoman’s time she began with a series of basic queries about the costs of mailing several different items, from postcards to Priority Mail packages. DeJoy repeatedly failed to know the simple answers.

“You don’t know the cost to mail a postcard?” Porter confirmed.

“I don’t.”

“What if I wanted mail — you said 55 cents for a first class stamp, what if it is a greeting card that is a square envelope, what is the postage?”

“I’ll submit that I know very little about the postage stamp.”

“And what is the starting rate for U.S. Post office — USPS priority mail?” Porter asked.

“The starting rate for what?”

“USPS priority mail.”

“Starting weight? 14 ounces,” DeJoy said, answering the wrong question.

“No, the rate. The price.”

“I don’t know. Don’t know.”

<...>

“Do you know about within a million or so, could you tell me how many people voted by mail in the last presidential election?”

“No, I cannot.”

We just crossed 180,000 coronavirus deaths

That's the equivalent of 45,000 Benghazi's.

Republicans had hearings for several years because 4 people died in Benghazi under Obama.
