Just weeks after a coronavirus outbreak at the White House, President Donald Trump mocked a member of the press corps for adhering to safety guidelines flouted by numerous members of his administration.

During a Friday afternoon Oval Office pool spray announcing a U.S.-brokered normalization deal between Israel and Sudan, Trump chided Reuters’ Jeff Mason for taking safety precautions. Mason was trying to direct a question to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was participating via conference call. Trump relayed the query – citing Mason wearing a mask as the reason Netanyahu could not hear the question.

“This is Jeff Mason,” Trump told Netanyahu. “He’s got a mask on that’s the largest mask I think I’ve ever seen. So I don’t know if you can hear him.”

The line drew laughter from Trump officials and others in the room — many of whom were not wearing masks. According to the White House pool report, there were 40-50 people in the Oval Office altogether.

President Donald Trump was mocked and pilloried on Twitter for dropping his 60 Minutes interview with Leslie Stahl early — with many pundits wondering how he thought it would make him look good.

The president has been promising that he would release the “full, unedited preview of the vicious attempted ‘takeout’ interview with Stahl, and on Thursday morning he did just that.

But even though he may have thought the move made him look like a hero, or perhaps even a martyr, Twitter had some other thoughts. Conservative pundit and former congressman Joe Walsh even noted that he actually looks like “a crybaby, a coward, and a quitter.”

Many, including MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin, also wondered how Trump thought “releasing the 60 Minutes interview would make him look good” while comedian Sarah Cooper questioned, “why Leslie Stahl even gives Trump the time of day.”

President Donald Trump is clearly not happy with how his interview with 60 Minutes’ Lesley Stahl went.

First, he posted a brief clip knocking her for not wearing a mask and hinted there was more to come. Then CNN reported he abruptly ended the interview before it was over.

Now the president is threatening to post the interview before it airs, claiming that it was “FAKE and BIASED.”

Trump mocks Biden for wanting to listen to the scientists

At President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Carson City, Nevada Sunday evening, he mocked his Democratic rival Joe Biden by saying that Biden would “listen to the scientists.”

“If you vote for Biden,” said Trump, “he will surrender your jobs to China. He will surrender your future to the virus. He’s going to lock down, he’s going to want us to lock down.”

“He will listen to the scientists,” Trump continued in a mocking tone. “If I listened totally to the scientists, we would right now have a country that would be in a massive depression, instead of, we’re like a rocket ship. Take a look at the numbers.”

Sunday’s rally followed the trend of Trump campaign events, featuring a crowd of people packed closely together and ignoring the recommendations of health officials to socially distance and wear face masks. Once again, the notable exception to the lack of masks were the people immediately behind the president in the camera’s view, who were issued “MAGA” masks to wear.

NBC Censors Demi Lovato's 'Vote' Message at the Billboard Music Awards

Demi Lovato performed her new protest single Commander in Chief at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, but NBC seemingly censored her message to “vote” — cutting it out of the footage that aired on television.

According to TMZ, at the end of Lovato’s performance, the word “vote” was displayed across each board on the stage, but that message was gone when the performance aired on TV, and a close up of Lovato’s face was used instead.

White House Backs Pro-Herd Immunity Document Signed by Medical Experts Like 'Dr. I.P. Freely'

It would appear the White House has embraced an open letter promoting herd immunity as a strategy for the coronavirus pandemic, even though the document is reportedly backed by at least some medical signatories who are obviously fake.

The GPD is an open letter that, according to its website, has been signed by approximately 448,000 concerned citizens, 9,500 medical and public health scientists, and 25,000 medical practitioners. The document argues that lockdowns have been detrimental to public health, that people less vulnerable to the virus should resume normal life, and that herd immunity is the preferable option for moving the world past the pandemic.

The website does not provide a list of who has signed on with the GPD, but Sky News reported recently that they found “dozens of fake names on the list of medical signatories, which anyone can add to if they tick a box and enter a name. These included Dr. I.P. Freely, Dr. Person Fakename and Dr. Johnny Bananas, who listed himself as a ‘Dr of Hard Sums.'”

Speaking to a rally crowd on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday, President Donald Trump said that Covid-19 is “going to disappear” and that it “is disappearing.”

“I want you to know our nation is going to defeat this terrible China virus, as we call it,” said President Trump from the balcony overlooking the south Lawn. “We’re producing powerful therapies and drugs and we’re healing the sick and we’re going to recover.”

Friday saw the highest daily increase in new cases in the United States since mid-September, according to data from Johns Hopkins, with over 57,000 new infections and a thousand deaths. It was the first time since August that new cases topped 50k for three consecutive days, so a sharp increase in the country rather than a decline.

“Through the power of the American – the American spirit, I think, more than anything else – science, medicine will eradicate the China virus once and for all,” said Trump. “It’s going to disappear, it is disappearing.”
