Weird clothing line seems to fetishize Jan. 6 insurrection

I had not noticed these ads until a day or so ago; has anyone else? This clothing line seems to take the rag-tag look of the right-wing rioters and romanticize or glorify it, with not only tattered American flag symbols but imagery that hearkens back to the crusades, for crying out loud. The "tactical face masks" are downright scary. Just goes to show there's a buck to be made off anything, no matter how disgraceful. The trotting out of this line also hints that "lifestyle" and play-acting is a big part of the appeal for these hypocritical posers.

Someone said tonight on CNN or MSNBC

that if Trump had not withdrawn the pandemic response team from China, we could have stopped the pandemic in its tracks. Could that be true?

We just got Joe Biden's work schedule for tomorrow:

"President Biden will be at work from early in the morning to late in the evening. He will have many meetings and make many phone calls."

: D

But this time, it'll actually be true!

My encounter with Fred Upton

A few years ago, I encountered Fred Upton on the sidewalk in downtown Kalamazoo, a half-block from his congressional office. As I passed him going in the opposite direction, I glanced over at him, determined it was indeed Rep. Upton, and spun around.

"Mr. Upton!" I called. He turned, and I grabbed his hand, ostensibly to shake it, and did not let go. "I just hope you will vote to impeach our president at the earliest possible opportunity," I said.

Without a word, he spun on his heel and walked away.

Well, today Fred Upton voted to impeach the president. I guess today was the "earliest possible opportunity." (Said with sarcasm.)

As a side note, Peter Meijer of Grand Rapids also voted to impeach. That makes two Republican representatives from Michigan who so voted. Would that every state had had two such members of the Republican caucus vote that way! (Washington state also added two.)

Why we've heard the last of Donald Trump

He's too f***ing lazy to mount another campaign without the power and the backing of the office.

He's going to play golf and kvetch. Pretty soon, people will get tired of listening to him.
