Septua's JournalMSNBC walk back on hiring McDaniel?
https://www.thewrap.com/msnbc-plans-ronna-mcdaniel-nbc-news/We'll see how that turns out.
Nicolle Wallace has thrown in the towel
Don't ask for a link; she just made the point a few moments ago. She, like most of us, has decided a Trump trial won't likely happen before the election so it will be up to the voters to hold Trump accountable for his misdeeds. Too many legal maneuvers available to delay, delay, delay.
But I'm still hoping for a minor miracle.
Will someone please tell me what Biden can do...
..with his executive powers to reduce the influx of immigrants at the southern border, with existing laws on the books?
Senator Lankford (R) said today Biden isn't doing as much as Obama or Trump did to reduce the number...I don't know anything about Obama's actions but am aware of Trump's use of Title 42 which is health related. I'm also aware that some of what Trump wanted to do, was struck down by the courts.
Lankford mentioned a "stay in Mexico" action but I think I remember Joe saying that Mexico would have to be willing to keep them in Mexico.
My logic tells me if there was some action to take, Joe would have taken it.
If anyone is confused about the border facts
Republicans lie a lot...needless to say.

Former president Donald Trump, in a social media post, Jan. 29
(Presidents can't always fix things with a "stroke of the pen." )
The fix is available, Mike Johnson/Trump don't want a fix.
I wonder if Trump has considered the downside of...
..his "Absolute Presidential Immunity" argument?
If SCOTUS rules in his favor, Biden could decide to stay in office indefinitely.
Forget the damned POLLS...
People's polled opinions today, don't mean jack relative to how they will vote Nov 5. The Democratic Presidential candidate has won the popular vote in 7 out of the last 8 elections. There's no reason to doubt the Democratic candidate will win the 2024 election. Rest assured, if the two names on the ballot are Biden and Trump, the sane people will vote for Biden. And the sane people make up the majority.
I don't blame Garland as the sole responsible party...
..for the lack of justice taking place with Trump. The Senate had two opportunities get rid of Trump but didn't, the House could have ignored the Trump politics but didn't, the state legislatures could have ignored Trump politics but didn't, Cannon could have performed like an impartial judge but didn't, SCOTUS could have taken the immunity appeal and rendered a decision in a matter of days but didn't and the segment of Americans who could have seen Trump for what he really is, didn't...
Even if Trump gets a trial before 11/5 and even if convicted, he'll still be running for president. If he loses the election, then maybe justice will eventually be served. If he wins, all the legal issues will go away.
The point being, we are where we've always been...stuck with the only form of 'justice' we can administer. Vote his ass out Nov 5,2024.
Haley creating a "structural" problem for Trump and RNC
A reported called it "structural."
Trump needs the nominee title in order to merge his campaign with the RNC and more or less take control of the RNC. Not everyone in the RNC likes that idea. A resolution has been proposed saying Trump can't be declared the nominee until he gets the required 1215 delegates or Haley drops out.

Fox & Friends
I can't stomach watching or listening to any conservative talk shows more than a few minutes so I occasionally record a Fox hour, then fast-forward the recording to see what worthy news ( ) topics they cover. Today it was Fox & Friends.
The lead off discussion was in regard to Biden's mental competence with some slurs against Harris thrown in for good measure. Then, on to the 'border' and failed border policy, then inflation, then failed Bidenomics. Then back to border related issues to defund immigrants and spend the money on the homeless. Then tying in the immigration issue with increased crime. Then a negative segment relating to raising the minimum wage in California and then some neutral conversation relative to the Haley-Trump race for the nominee.
The silliest segment to me, near the end, was a bitch session about (noted) New York City and Boston schools 'depriving' kids of a 'snow-day' to play in the snow, by having remote classes via Zoom or whatever.
Not one word about fool Trump or his deranged, unhinged mental state or his recent $350 M penalty judgement or anything else relative to his legal situation.
Of course, F & F is most always a non-news broadcast, most always a spew of propaganda.
