About Me
Thank you Democratic Underground for keeping me sane for the last four years. I think I was probably the longest lurker here. I started following DU during the Dubya administration. I was first attracted to the "Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week." I've been following along ever since. I always felt guilty for not participating, but refrained from doing so because I already spend way too much time online. However, after recent events, I just can't sit back any longer. I had to log on and thank you folks for all that you do. I'm a retired TV newscast director with forty years experience and more than eighteen thousand broadcasts under my belt, most of them live. Out my back window!
My wife and I recently changed our rooms around, and I have a new office for my photography efforts. I also inherited the hummingbird feeder that she hung out the back window. Stay tuned for more. This was shot with a Canon SX40 HS Bridge camera.

One more river shot!
I was looking at my Facebook memories this morning, and up popped this image of "Tower Falls" in Yellowstone NP. This was taken on the same trip as my other photo "Yellowstone River."
This was shot with a Point n' Shoot Canon SX20HS bridge camera in 2011.

I hope this is OK. I need help picking an entry for the next contest.
I was really excited to see that the topic for the next contest is rivers and streams. I've been shooting landscape photos ever since I retired ten years ago, and I have lots of rivers and streams. However, I quickly went through my files and came up with thirty eight possible entries! Yikes! I'm having a worse time than usual picking two of them.
